Just got back from the movies...watched Rush Hour 3
In the beginning where Jacky Chan jumps out of the World Criminal Court (something like that), i noticed its the same building in Season 1 of heroes...the red staircase was there aswell.. Is that a real place in the US? Kirby Plaza? And is the staircase really there, coz i thought it was only used in Heroes because it resembled a DNA stand? |

First off, whomever told you that Kirby Plaza was real and they went to it in New York, they lied. It's actually called Arco Plaza and it's in L.A. The actual orange statue is called Double Ascension and if you look down upon it it looks like a strand of DNA.

Im sure I saw it in another recent film, it was either Next with Nicolas Cage, or a recent comedy, where they were sitting underneath it chatting. Can anyone help??

Can anyone help?? Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it being in other movies, it's well know to be a landmark for other movies, and my brother has a picture of it in is math book. I have lived outside of L.A my whole life and I didn't know it was there so I thought they created it, just for the show, but my family members showed me otherwise. |

Yes! I noticed the Kirby Plaza fountain as well, and nearly shouted it aloud in the cinema screen. Rather embarrassing actually.
Anyway, is that place actually called Kirby Plaza, or is it just the name for it in Heroes? |

i was trying to remember where id seen it, as well as the finale of s1.
rush hour 3, of course. doesnt say a lot about the film if the most exciting part for we was seeing 'kirby plaza' |

Wow, I live about 20 minutes from L.A and I've never seen that place. Also, I watched Rush Hour 3 twice and didn't even notice it!
