Did Matt Ever Face Sylar, ...In Earlier Seasons? Options

I was trying to find this on the various wikis but had no luck. I know about Matt and Sylar at Kirby Plaza, and what happened in An Invisible Thread with the Matt/Sylar/Nathan transfer and obviously what's going on this season. But I thought I remembered Matt and Sylar facing off once and Matt trying to use his mind control power on Sylar but it didn't work and Sylar said something like "you didn't think that would work on me, did you?" Did this actually happen and if so, where? As I said, I can't find it. Maybe this was with his dad but I don't think so. Perhaps someone else??? Thanks for any help!

No it didn't. That line, a similar line was said when Eric Doyle tried to control Sylar.

The only other time Matt faced Sylar was at the police station when Sylar went after Molly.
