Possible spoilers for American viewers

She is a shape shifter, and she took on the form of Simone to trick the cops, and she took on the form of Sandra Bennet to trick HRG.
But its weird when she first became Simone her body that was lying dead disappeared and then when she did it again to mess with Isaac her dead body didnt disappear.

I'm not quite certain that she is a shapeshifter. It seems that she creates an illusion around herself, or an area around herself. While it may appear to be shape changing, nothing actually changes, only one's perception of it.

Her power is quite strange since it is difficult to determine if she can create an illusion or if she can actually shape shift

I think she can create illusions, because Simones body was gone from the bed when she was pretending to be Simone. You could see the background behind her go back to normal when she revealed herself to Isaac.

I admit, I did not notice that..it makes sense since the spoilers said that Candice would make an "illusive" appearance

I didn't really notice it at first, on my second viewing I did.

Yeah, me and my family discussed it... We have much reason to believe that she is an "illusionist" not a Shape-Shifter, although it can very well be mistakened as shape-shifting...

It could very easily be mistaken but it just seemed strange the way that she would go from Simone to herself, more like it had been an illusion rather than shape shifting

Yeah... I would imagine shape-shifting as a different kind of illusion, if you know what I mean...

Instead of everything around her "morphing" into place, if she were a shape-shifter than only her body would be "morphing." Hope that makes sense...

I thought she'd be a shape-shifter too but seeing as how she doesn't actually 'morph' she's probably an illusionist. Remember the hotel scene and how it just 'materialized' so to speak? That's how she hid Thompson in the room. Morphing would look a little different.

I think it is something like that. She can distort reality, specifically the physical surroundings. That's quite a power. Interesting.

what I didn't like was the special effects they used for her talent. I didn't like the way how the room got all fuzzy and shaky, with the groaning noise in the background.

I would have prefered the more traditional shape shifting special fx we have seen before, like what we saw in T3, or in the X-Files.

She is a changeling...You can find it demonology book if u have the patience....im not sayin she is a demon just has the powers of a changeling..Hence she can be technically called a changeling

Well she stole a car, drove while intoxicated, told Matt to eat a dozen donuts, spit in HRG's face, and told Sylar to kill himself so yeah she was definetly a nice girl

I was talking about after HRG gave her a "better" life of course...

She was a [spoiler]bitch[/spoiler] earlier in the series, but she changed... I liked her after she changed...

I don't know if Eden changed or if she just allowed her softer side to show, especially with Mohinder and Isaac. I don't even think that Eden ever really wanted to work with HRG so that might be a factor. Candice on the other hand seems to completely enjoy her job, even at the expense of others

I hope her character turns out to be nicer by the end of the season. Her ability is quite a bit more intriguing than the rest so far.

I agree totally! She freaks me out! When she did turn into Simone I understood it and it was cool but when she turned into Sandra Bennet, I freaked. I totally didn't expect that. It really sneaked up on me. But yes, she seems to be on the "dark" side right now. But at least we have another female hero. The show had been killing them off pretty regularlly there for a while.

So true, far more females have been killed off this show than males..Eden, Simone, Charlie, even Dale, Jackie..and if Mohinder dies then I'll guess he'll be the third male after his father and Charles Deveaux

Seeing as how Candice creates illusions around herself, I wonder if that is the way she really looks. If she's mastered her powers, or at least has a significant amount of control, she could cloak herself in whatever guise she wanted. It might explain her personality if she is not as good looking as the facade she's gives off.

As strange as that may be I really doubt that that is the case. I think it would be kind of pointless if she just disguised herself all the time especially is she was insecure about her looks..the writers wouldn't be sending out a very good message to people either

Candice is very interesting... I hope they elaborate more on her background too!

Might be possible, It woudl be around the right age.

And it sure woudl be ironic that the very person he was hiding turns in HRG who took care of him (Idk if that makes sense...does to me!)

Although these thoughts make sense... I think Cluade was hiding someone we will never see! I think they just used that to add to the story-writting moves...

I will be surprised if they explain who Claude was hiding exactly...

Hmm intersting...damn I hate guessing so much, even guesses can be spoilers. If anyone checked the youtube/g4tv interview link up above, Candice's character might not have any particular alliance. She might be like Alex Krycek on the The X-Files, the anti-hero, hmmm..... I hope her character is given more exposure. I kind of hate seeing characters introduced and then quickly killed/written off...dammit at least bring Eden back!

yeah she doesn't actually change her physical appearance she just makes you think that you are seeing something you are not.
I really love a character from the x-men chartoon known as morph(the origionalcomic morph was a bad guy created just to be killed). That was a badass power, his shape shifting.

YEAH! Somone needs to be a shape-shifter! I want to see Peter take the form of other people!

Actually, If he became a proper shape-shifter/power borrower that would make him like a super skrull.

Unfortunately, I don't think that we'll be seeing much of Eden anymore. Also the only thing that they could do is to make her a cast member to get her to stick around, otherwise they'll probably kill off Candice after a few episodes

If Candice is able to take the form of anything why bother to have a shape-shifter since their powers would be too incredibly alike. Peter can just take Candice's power sometime

Candice technically can't "take the form of anything," she is just an illusionist... It would make perfect sense for Peter to be a shape-shifter, as well as being able to take powers by being around other "Heroes."
