This is one of my favourite TV shows! I love all the theory behind it, especially linking the anchient Egyptians and Medievil cultures to an Alien race of ascended beings and false Gods, its very applicable to todays society i feel, with a lot of people worshipping celebrities (false-gods). And its also very good all round entertainment

I'm sad to see SG-1 is coming to an end though At least theres Atlantis and an as yet undisclosed new series being launched in 2008

yeah i watch it and you are right it is a shame but on the other hand the money saved from sg-1's serise can be injected into atlantis and ammanda tapping has been confirmed as a full cast member for the next season of atlantis.

this season has been great and the episodes are avaliable for download at the usual source's for the current season as canada is aring the rest of the current season now as the usa put it back till march april time

Hmm... I found the movie to be much more well written and interesting. Not to mention they had much better actors. I know there is a huge dispute over this but it is true SG-1 is not canon since the REAL writers have nothing to do with it and basically killed off what was going to be a great trilogy.

oh well...

Massive fan of both SG1 and Atlantis have been since day one.... like what ten years ago... all of a sudden I feel old. LOL. I have to say the film itself actually did very little for me the reason I came to watch Stargate SG1 in the beginning was because of Richard Dean Anderson. I'm sad yet happy in someways over the series end mainly because I havent enjoyed recent seasons especially 10. I find that I enjoy Atlantis a lot more and the darker storylines that comes with it.

Plus Atlantis has David Hewlett.... *sighs* and well I am totally fangirlishly in love with David Hewlett. He is such an amazing actor and after meeting him twice and being totally unfangirly believe it or not he is really lovely. Early on this year I went on holiday to Vancouver and sorta had my dream come true to visit the sets it was amazing!

I used to watch it with my dad matter of fact, im on the younger side. I personally only liked the ones with the orignal cast, not atlantis and whatever they are doing now. I didn't like the movie either since it didn't have the orignal actors, that i was used to. I'm not a BIG fan but i know the charectors and the relationship between them.

I have loved Stargate for years... Daniel was my fave character and I am still a big danandjan shipper I seemed to have missed a heap of season 9 because of the change in timeslot (guess I should be thankful that there was a scifi series stay at a good timeslot for so long!), so I'm trying to hold off watching much of season 10 (now have the dvd box set) till I have caught up on season 9 (still trying to locate the box set... knew I shouldn't have taken a break in buying them). Atlantis has been shoved back to a rediculous timeslot too, so I've missed a lot of it and need to catch up there as well. Can't say I like it as much because it doesn't have Daniel but I have really enjoyed it and appreciate that they made it relatively different
