Watch me FLY
Watching the second half of the premier of Heroes Season 3 we come across Maya & Mohinder's encouter since he injected himself with the serum. He apparently not only has super strength but agility and can adhere to surfaces. His powers so far scream Spiderman to me! Though the way he's acting with kissing Maya and acting all psyched out it reminds me of the movie The Fly? What do you guys think?
Stockholm Syndrome
I think those are side effects of his experiment! He has super strength and he can do the Spider-man thing aswell. And he looks totally evil now! The way he was looking at Maya and that wild scene!!! Mohinder is freaking me out in these two episodes, hehehe. Love it.
Brandon
My first thought was Beast from X-Men. He enjoys hanging onto things, jumping around, and quoting random brainiacs. It all fits together!
Stockholm Syndrome
But does Beast have super strenght? I'm not a huge X-Men fan but I think he doesn't!

I went to the forum to find a download link and see this! I haven't even watched the promos to try to stay away from spoilers!

Mohinder has the powers of the original Spider-Man! The original Spider-Man had to invent web shooters. So he's Spider-Man without the web shooters!
Bat
I remembered Beast as well. And yes, if I'm not mistaken, Beast has agility and strength. I wouldn't call it SUPER strength though.
Q The Muse
He is also growing scales down his back more of a lizardesque situation
Sylar72
It might be hard to peg down because Mohinder was messing with something he didn't take the time to completely think though. Your blood chemistry is unique to you, determined, much like everything else, by your DNA. It's part of the reason why transplant patients are matched with the closest possible donor and still have to take anti-rejection drugs.

Probably why Chandra Suresh's list was still 100 % accurate. He needed both halves to complete it: the DNA marker and the adrenlin gland marker.

As such, Mohinder's ability wasn't supposed to be, and will probably be a mutant variant and harder to predict.
Questions alot
Hey I missed the last fifteen mins of it .... Can anyone please tell me what happen I missed it and it's killing me ......

Ha! Ha! Good one! You quoted one of the new characters! The one talking to Matt in the desert in Africa.
Watch me FLY
IDK he is all slimey in the previews for the new episodes. Plus if those were scales would they come out?
tiffany
I watched The Fly recently(a few months ago is recent, apparently) and as what I can see everything is exactly the same except he's turning into some sort of reptile, rather than a fly. Other than that ...pretty similar. Maybe soon he'll leave Maya and kiss some other girl, start to fall apart, then go into a state of realization and die? XD

But yeah in The Fly the dude could stick to walls, had super strength, etc. Who knows maybe he'll develop that acidic spit too x)

I presume that if they are still growing they are still able to be removed. That shot they showed of them though was very sicking. I think so anyway.

They could be scales, yes. But I think hes going more towards "The Fly" side with these powers.. I think the scales are actually scabs and stuff.. The Fly was peeling stuff off his skin at one point, wasn't he? Anyway, it's my opinion that some people just aren't meant to have powers, their DNA not strong enough or something.. *shrugs*
hellblazer
I honestly think he is the victim of a mutation but I'm gonna hazard a guess that maybe his body is degenerating and rejecting what he put into his body.
Dantefer
I think he will become some sort of humanoid lizard thing, and have a few reasons that support the idea.

1: The first time we see Mohinder after he first discovers his powers, he is craving milk (empty carton on his desk, plus grabbing one out of the fridge). Lizards are known for having calcium deficiencies.

2: Season 1, Chandra had an iguana named Mohinder.

3: The scales.

Nice! wink.gif
Dantefer
For further clarification, if it wasn't scales, it at least seemed like his skin was peeling, which iguanas do too.

You know what that makes so much sense to me! I'm so glad I joined this forum so I can read some very interesting theories. biggrin.gif
Raivynn
The lizard theory is great biggrin.gif
My first thoughts were "Oh look it's Seth Brundle." then "Heh..Man-Spider"
Either way, I'm really interested to see where this is going.

Off-Topic: Beast does have superhuman strength.
kurtsky
Great power but bad side effect. I guess he has to test the formula before injecting it into people. Yikes!

You know that actually makes sense! Mabey their going for the Dr. Conners Lizard thing. That would actually make sense since their characters are pretty similar. Plus The iguana that was named Mohinder really put the icing on it for me.
MBlazel
The whole scene screamed the fly, shirt off, climbing on the wall, it was a complete homage. Looks like mohinder might be turning into the fly too.

Exactly, it was his skin peeling. Don't know where you guys saw scales!
Dantefer
Well, the shape of whatever it was he pulled off his back looked to be about the same shape as a fish's scale, and it seemed more solid than peeling skin, didn't flake off easily. Also, it had liquid stuff stringing from his back to it when he held it in front of him, peeling skin usually isn't oozing, not sure about scales

"Reminded" you of The Fly? I should think so! It was a blatant rip-off of the Cronenberg remake. Heck, Mohinder even LOOKED like Goldblum staring into that mirror saying "What's happening to me?" Unless it was intended to be an homage, it was a cheap shot.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lizard_(comics)

look at the list of abilities, plus the fact that curt connors was a scientist who injected himself with a serum, it all points
Obi-Wan Gibnobi
Also, while under the influence of the serum, Mohinder seemed to be acting more on instinct. I loved the the now we need to make you mad line while waving the syringe in front Maya. laugh.gif
heroes_addict_92
I don't know about you guys, but no matter what his power is, I'm mad that he did that at all. It was selfish and short-sighted. Instead of helping Maya he was only concerned with giving himself powers. What happened to the innocent Mohinder we all know and love... you know, the one that was concerned with helping others and doing research? And I think it all happened too fast. In two episodes he discovers this, replicates it, and injects himself. It should have taken longer and he should have known to do more research. The old Mohinder was cautious. And by old, I don't mean pre-injection, i mean pre-season three.
Dantefer
I think Mohinder started his change in personality in Season 2, especially since he shot Noah. Even though he knew he could be revived through the use of Claire's blood, I don't think Season 1 Mohinder would have made the same decision in the same circumstances, so I personally don't feel as if the change was sudden.

screencapped from the HD episode

http://i36.tinypic.com/c6jh2.jpg

the bits of whatever in line with the spine could be seen as scales, especially at the angles they are pointing away from the skin, but the big bit does look a bit like burnt, peeling skin. will be interesting to see in future episodes what it turns out to be, because it could be almost anything
Bat
I forgot to mention I had just reseen it after my post in HD and noticed it was indeed something which looks like scales. This is going to be interesting.
Ænigma
Stockholm Syndrome and I were talking when that scene happened, I mean the look in his eyes reminded me of Sylar, like he was hungry for more, I think what happened to him in the bathroom is a side effect of not injecting more. He will eventually try making everyone mad to inject himself which will eventually be his down fall.

Well it seems that it's not a side effect, because as what we can see they're totally making this into The Fly, haha.
And that scene in The Fly where after he's with that girl and wakes up and goes to the bathroom and discovers those weird hairs.

So it's pretty fitting =/
JPW
i'm thinking the reason why he has side effect is he already had power he had a virus healing power didn't he? I don't know that got lsot a bit last season.

But maybe those who already have a power have certain consequences with it.

Sylar's steals powers from the brain rather than an injection in the blood so that's why Sylar is never affected in the long run by it.

Ha ha! thats what I thought too
MrJP
I noticed it was a lot like spiderman and the fly as well, but I expect him to have cockroach linked abilities, as Heroes and especially Mohinder seem to like them. Ofcourse I don't know if that can be linked to the goo on his hand in the next preview.
DiZ
mohinder has changed too fast, this isnt like him, not credible enough to be anywhere near believable. Im disappointed in the producers and actors, but i'm gunna watch it anyway, cos nathan pitrelli is done well and so are Hiro and Ando.
kurtsky
Hes starting be a real mad scientist. And im starting not to like his character like previous seasons

It's pretty obvious that the change is down to his powers. He said that he kinda wanted a power since his Dad died, so that's not sudden. He did change after he injected the power, however. It's just like when Gabriel first dicovered his power. He went from mild-mannered watch maker to mass murderer very quickly.
Sandy Petrelli
eh deviating from the Topic , I think Mohinder will have a son now eesh ... that was scary never seen Mohinder really intense....looks like a part from Dr.Jekyll and Mr Hyde...
Archis
Mohinder could be the new Niki.

Maybe we saw the episode back-to-back, we thought it was tooo sudden. Now that you think of it, he even said he wanted to kill Sylar so he needed the power. And was even about to throw the syringes away into the river.

I think if the directors or writers took some time to explain his situation rather than just making a magic serum in the blink of an eye, injecting himself, climbing-jumping walls, then making out with Maya in the lab too soon. I'm getting a feeling the show is going toooo fast.

Well, since we've only seen the first 2 episodes, it's hard to tell but it may make up for going so fast. If it's going this fast now, imagine how good the rest of the Volume is gonna be! Once we've seen all the eps and look back, I'm sure it'll be great.
