Only Nathan can see him...so is he still dead and just in Nathan's head or what?

Yeah and not only that in the previews you see Daphne and Linderman together...I don't know, maybe he's a ghost or something.

I love how confused I am already...but that's the best part of the show

But that would go against for when he said "only you can see me" .. or something like that.

I don't know...I have a feeling Arthur (Nathan's father) has something to do with it as well.

Just so you know, there is an ability that lets your soul out of your body, the one who bears the ability has the choice to show or hide himself as to a specific person or everyone. "Soul and Body Isolation"

My theory. Linderman's ability evolved to self-healing+heal after Hawkins squeezes his brain (It is also possible that Hawkins touched a part of Linderman's brain causing his power to evolve/get a new one). And later on, developed soul and body isolation ability.

For me, I think Linderman's definitely an angel. He's looking over Nathan now. I guess, when Nathan was at the pearly gates, Linderman met him and used his power there and came back to earth with Nathan. The whole chess scene really did remind me of Hurley off LOST. "Checkmate, Mr. Eko."

I think the linderman that nathan sees is really matt parkman's dad.

You may have something there. I thought of Maury when Linderman mentionned that only Nathan could see him.
Or maybe it has something to do with Charles Deveaux's ability. I don't know, just guessing...

Hmm maybe his ability evolved such that even though he's a ghost he could heal. Nah..

In my opinion the only reason why only nathan can see linderman is because linderman is actually still dead and nathan has a "I defeated the death experience" that causes him this illusions OR Maury or anyone with a similar power is playing with his mind full time.

That linderman is not alive after the squeezed brain is obvious cause otherwise tracy, the nurse and peter would had saw him. Nathans recovery came through future peter that obviously has a peter he didn't knew once again because he never needed it before (thats why he was surprised as always when a power he doesn't know he has yet kicks in).

The scenes with daphne could be either flashbacks to show that she were working for him for longer than we thought or the person with the "mind games" makes her see him as well manipulating her to get his/her hands on that formula.

that's a great thought! I like this idea much more than the "ghost/angels" theories...

I always thought that Charles Deveaux's ability was Astral Projection and that because of it he managed to live beyond death. If that is his ability he could have somehting to do with Linderman.

Maury was in Agela's dream but at this moment he would probably still be trapped in his own mind. Unless of course he's attempting to break free somehow by using Nathan.

Who knows?!?! This show is making ZERO sense right now!

Avellana, i totally agree with you. I just watched the episode again, and Linderman appears with Nathan in the hospital, muttering about telling everyone about them. He then falls asleep. Peter says something about "when you find out what i've done, you'll forgive me." Then kisses him on the forehead and leaves. Linderman appears right then.

I think we were supposed to assume Future Peter is talking about shooting him, but it definatly could be something to distract Nathan.
