I don't know how this happened. There was SO much hype. Bloody Dancing With The Stars... here is how the ratings went down by the half-hour...

9PM: 6.8/10
9:30: 6.6/10
10PM: 6.3/10
10:30: 6.1/10

Last season's premiere was an 8.8/13. That's a 27% decline.

It's because alot of people didn't like season 2, so they couldn't be bothered with season 3. Although I'm a bit worried about the drop at each half hour..

Shame it's only just started getting better.. Hopefully it'll build as the season progresses, or atleast remain stable. They need a big story arc like the whole "Save the cheerleader, save the world" to get back on it's feet.

The thing is once S2 started to gain momentum in episodes 7-9, the ratings picked up to a healthy 10-11M avergae each episode. S1 didn't have much higher.

I hope the hiatus didn't kill any momentum and that DWTS is finished with soon. BLAH show. I think the ratings can pick up though. Word will get out about how much better the show is now. Though there are a fare share of fans out there who were not all that thrilled with the premiere...

I can understand why some people would be disappointed with the first episode of season three. I wasn't disappointed, but for the average person, they are counting on their particular favorite hero and all of a sudden when they turn evil or die or change personalities, they get upset and click... The T.V. gets turned off...

Well remember it is the same time as Prison Break, and maybe some people watched prison break live and just recorded heroes instead.

The last hour looks like a series low.

I this might be a good option, not to mention people I know were also big on Dancing with the Stars. Also when you get into the 10 o'clock hour, especially for Heroes, you lose some of their audience. I think if they hadn't done the countdown to the premiere or had their been only a single episode you might not have seen as much of a drop.

Plus you can see what you missed online...

I say its because of Prison Break and Terminator. Season 2 wasn't that good and when the writers strike hit, Terminator took the 8:00 slot with new eps every week when heroes went off; gaining fans along with the hardcore ones. So the ratings are gonna be split like this for sometime. I watch heroes and download terminator because I want to show support and keep the show rolling.

meh.. il still watch it on t.v (cause i love watching show on t.v for some reason, and i watch heroes at least 2-3 times each ep anyways *shrug*) but im starting to HATE chanel 7.
