After watching the episodes, I was thinking that Future Peter isn't creating an Illusion to make himself look like Present Peter he's just switching bodies with him.

So...

He placed "Peter" in the body of Jesse and took control of Peter's body so he can switch between them...

Eh...It's plausible and creative. Good thinking but I don't see it, myself. It's too complicated and the way he was switching looked way too much like Candice's illusion.

Well, it's possible that when Candice scooped Gabriel up from Kirby plaza, Pete was near enough to her to gain her power or maybe he got it from somewhere else in the future.

I don't think Candice would have "scooped" Gabriel up when he was so close to Peter and Nathan as they were about to fly off, especially while all eyes were on them at Kirby Plaza, it had to have happened after Nathan and Peter flew off, while everyone there was looking to the sky for the "exploding man". Although... Candice did have the power of illusion. I am thinking this will remain a mystery...

He got it off Candice at Kirby Plaza. After revealing himself to Matt and Nathan, I thought this wouldn't be in doubt.

No reason why it couldn't be that. But Candice's ability seems the most logical answer, as when he morphs. It looks more or less identical to her ability.

So, the ability to "put someone inside another body" - he probably picked-up from someone, sometime in the future, right?

It's obvious that he isn't doing the same thing as Candice; there's only one plausible explaination that could fit that option, and that's that Future Peter took the real Jesse and put him somewhere else, and disguised Present Peter as Jesse, in the holding cell of Level 5.

I think that the Present Peter has been put inside of Jesse, kind of like when a demon posseses a body. I don't know what that ability would be labeled, but that's about as plausible as it gets for me.

I've got another plausible explanation: why on earth does this have to be Candice's power? New Heroes crop up all the time, it seems like, and 4 years a long time indeed. Simplest explanation is that Future Peter simply ran across another Illusionist.

Its possible he has Candice power either from kirby plaza or maybe she doesnt die in that future at least straight away and they meet up. How he put peter in jesse body? well could be candice power manifested or he met a new hero, imo he is using candice power to hide his scar though.

Sylar never absorbed that ability as he had the Shanti virus.

It's true, Peter could possibly have absorbed Candice's power at Kirby Plaza.. but I think that's unlikely as I stated in my last post. But you know what I want to know? Who had that power of soul transfer??? It's obviously a new hero.. but MAYBE! The mind powers of Matt Parkman have grown? Remember, Matt's dad could put you into your own little nightmare, make you see things he wanted you to see, similar to Candice's power in the illusion part.. Maybe that power has evolved and gained body/and or mind(soul) transfer?

and if he just switched body. why can he still morph his appearance?

Perhaps he only morphs his appearance to his Future self to show that he is in fact from the future and is trying to tell them how to change the bad future...

He has a morphing ability but not illussion. check the morphing part of candice and you will already see the difference.
Peters morphing is more like shapeshifting (mystique) than candices illussions.

That is true.. I agree because of every power Peter absorbs, the way it is used is always the same as the person he absorbed it from. That being said, when Candice used her power, the area around her seemed to ripple, and when Peter changes, it just simply "morphs", no ripple effect.

It's massively obvious.

It's all to do with Parkman's power.
It gives Peter the ability to control the brain. Meaning you can only see what Future Peter wants you to see.
This also explains Peter in Jessy's body.
Remember when Parkman trapped Maury in that room. Same thing but switch room for someone elses brain.

Maury/Matt are able to trap your mind only.
Not your body or your soul. Is a totally different ability.

Molly was in a coma state as long as her mind were trapped somewhere else, the same happened to maury later.
This power doesn't even fit to the telepathy/mind control and I hope they won't mix it like this only to make matt more powerful again.

If Peter's soul is in Jesse's body, then where the hell is Peter's body? Why else would Future Peter only stash away Peter's soul if he wasn't using the body himself? Maybe he's using Present Peter's body and the times he shows his future self, that's an illusion.........though that makes me wonder where Future Peter's body is......Argh, such a confusion.

They have combined to make an already super powered Peter into a ULTRA MEGA SUPER PETER! lol

Do you guys ever listen to the sound effects? There is clearly a Sound effect for every ability and it made the Illusion noise (Kinda Skkkkkgh lol) When he changes.
