Full Version: The "LIGHT" that Kaito spoke about ...
Got Heroes > Heroes: Episode Discussion > Volume Three: Villains > Chapter 01 - "A Second Coming" & Chapter 02 - "Butterfly Effect"
Silentsoto
Do you think this is a reference to Elle, the one hero so far that has put sylar down by herself.
jackieblue
No idea...
Wargeria
I think the light could actually end up being Ando. It would fit. Hiro is looking for the "light" while not trusting Ando? Conflict maybe?
earth
didnt he say something about 'the purity of blood' aswell?
wadya rekon that means?
My_Name_Is_Sylar!
I'm not too sure, but I don't think it's Elle.

i think its got something to do with maya. she is meant to have an important role in saving the world this season. hiros dad said something along thew lines of, 'the light which walks amongst us, who has purity in their blood'
Raekon
I also think that maya is the "pure blood" that can save the world but I think we will have to wait and see.

Aren't you thinking of the fact that Maya was originally meant to stop the virus by absorbing it?

I hope Kaito didn't mean Claire and her magic blood again!

Claire was the 1st person that I thought of. Then thought if it could be Adam aswell

I thought Claire as well, especially now that Sylar said she was more special then the others. But I hope the writers throw us for a loop and it ends up being somebody else. Maybe Maya, that would be nice. I don't think it's Ando because right now he doesn't even has any powers, he may be Hiro's light, but definately not that of the others. Maybe it's Nathan with his divine intervention and because in ANgela's dream, he was absent from the other dead heroes she saw.

the purity of blood thing can have two meanings in my mind. either the harry potter-esque both parents having powers and thus being 'pure blood', or its a paraphrase of 'purity of heart', meaning that its someone who isnt evil, and doesnt really have the capability to be evil. the point about the light seems to point to a good natured person as the common analogy with good and evil is light and dark, but its also feasible that both parts of what kaito said are independant of each other.

of the people we know (assuming he is talking about a person) i think he is referring to either Sylar (if we can assume that Angela actually is his mother) as he would then be a pure blood (as in royal blood), and he is potentially the most powerful of all the heroes, and will be able to help the others to see off the threat of Level 5, a bit like magneto occasionally teams up with the x men to defeat more powerful opponents, or Maya who seems to be the only character that hasnt used their powers to their own advantage (i might be wrong on this, but i cant remember her doing so)

It needs to be Maya as she had a sh*tty run in the last season and so far this season she seems to be nothing more than a love interest. She is a harbinger of kick-a**, and that needs to be shown.

yeah I thought of Claire as well. Something about what Sylar said about her ability, Future Peter's reluctance to teach her and her heritage (Nathan and Meridith both being Specials (or whatever the term is we're using nowadays)).
Uker
Going out on a wing here, but the purity of blood is the LACK of Adrenalin or whatever chemical / gene that makes these powers occur / manifest / etc.

I would have thought suresh at this point because for 1 : he hopefully knows how to read a chemical equation and his blood was pure because he didnt have powers( now...im not sure). Thinking that the equation takes away these powers he is the "light"

Ill have to rewatch the episode at some point, but i hope you guys get the gist of what im saying smile.gif
MrJP
Couldn't purity of the blood mean someone without powers? The could leave Mohinder and Ando open.
Ando might be more often talking about abusing hiro's power, but he got this "down to earth""pure"kind of vibe if you ask me. Mohinder has often been the last bit of hope, the symbolic "light at the end of the tunnel" for many people with powers.

Ofcourse it's still could be anybody and sometimes I wouldn't even be suprised if even the writers didn't know yet.

this came from the article called '10 Secrets You Aren't Supposed to Know; from the spoilers section. its resent:
Maya Changes the World: According to Dania Ramirez, "I think you're going to finally understand why Maya was even added to the cast. You'll see how, in Suresh trying to help her, she changes the course of life, for not only him, but also for a lot of other people."
yeah so im guessing maya

This Maya stuff is pretty convincing, but I cant but help to think that the "purity blood" stuff is referring to someone with no powers. Since the godsend sign thats destroying the Earth .. painting sort of thing, has been spotted around the first two episodes, making me feel like it has some sort of importance.
Auxii
Hope it's Maya. smile.gif
kurtsky
Maybe Mohinders new formula that made him "special"
haikuuuu6
all I know is that somewhere in middle america, a white supremacist accidentally caught a glance of that mohinder-maya grind session and s*** a brick

heroes: breaking racial boundaries?
