How are you liking the new Season? so far...

I think it's been alright. So far the plot seems fairly repetitive, with the whole 'world is gunna end' storyline, only this time, it's a formula, not a virus.

And also I'm quite pleased that they're fading horrible characters like Micah, and Monica out of the show. And of course, worst, and who was in it the most last season, Molly. She's lucky that Matt Parkman (One of the greatest characters) was there, or else the show would've sucked big time.

And one of my main problems this season is Mohinder, I began not liking him much last season, now I just find him awful. Him getting powers was the worst decision of all time. I mean, what made him, HRG, and Ando good was that they didn't have powers, and they were still 'saving the world' but now Mohinder is like Spiderman, only a lizard. I am looking forward to Ando having powers, him and Hiro have always been some of the most entertaining parts of the show.

Not too sure about the whole new villains, the German pretty much has telekinesis, (taking away from Sylar) the bald guy just seems like he won't be very good, and then the fear guy, I don't know, that's kinda like Maury Parkman's power. With the whole, worst nightmare and using it for his own strength.

And one of my main problems, since 'How to Stop An Exploding Man' Peter the tough guy. What made him good was that he was a pretty big pushover, and was really the most powerful person in the world. But now he always uses a deep voice, like Batman, and acts tough.

But other than all that, I just hope Matt, Nathan, HRG, and Sylar all do great, though I don't know how good Nathan can do with Niki, Tracy, or whoever the hell she is. Those are pretty much the best characters, and Hiro, but he only goes so far because he's a funny character. And we can all cross our fingers and hope that Adam Monroe comes back, greatest villain of all time! Except Sylar.

shoked me actually
My_Name_Is_Sylar!
So far, it's been alright, but some things bother me. First of all, I think they're going pretty fast. Which isn't necessarily bad. Especially as season 2 dragged in every episode. However, I think that's why they're going so fast, because they feel they need to "catch up". To me, that is hurting the pacing a little bit. A lot happened in just two episodes and it's kind of hard to take it all in.

Also, once again, the characters aren't acting like themselves. As someone pointed out, Mohinder is a friggin idiot. Sylar didn't kill Claire? Why not? I thought he wanted to "eliminate the competition" and be "special". He seems like he's getting soft. HRG, still awesome, did not kill Sylar when he was knocked out? WHAT!? Why not? That made no sense. Nathan suddenly turns religious/insane (Linderman's ghost)? What's the deal with that? He saw his wife healed, his brother come back from the dead, and saw people with extraordinary powers and NOW he suddenly thinks God is doing it? Hiro and Ando's story has me intrigued, though.

I am giving the show the benefit of the doubt though and waiting... biggrin.gif
Godsend Sylar
love it. not that its not good, but maybe its because of not watching heroes for such a long time and just miss the casts and the special effects and the story lines. maybe this has clouded my judgement, i don't know.
Auxii
Watching the first episode was kind of a drag.. (watched it twice while second episode was downloading) but when I saw Elle in the second episode, (when Sylar was going to take her power and she used her power) I remembered why I love Heroes and now I am waiting for episode 3 on the edge of my seat. biggrin.gif literally.
Obi-Wan Gibnobi
All those spoilers sort of left me knowing what was coming in each episode. But I still loved it, and was hooked. The pace of the show has really picked up.
Vincitrice
I loooooooove it!

I really love it! I think everything is so perfect at this point. I love how they showed all the possible storylines in the first 2 episodes. So many twists and turns. I will definitely be tuning in every week.
Lost_Dom
It's awesome, so far. Right up there with season 1. I don't know how many times they can save the world over and over though..

Good:

HRG
Ando and hiro back together
Tracy replacing boring nikki
Linderman that guy is just an amazing actor
Villians look awesome torching whole place

So so:

Bob dead, wanted to see him use his powers like he did in comic and see sylar and him confront each other (he did remove sylars powers)

Angellina in charge of company? it looked like kaito was in charge of it when he locked Adam monroe up in 1977, so why is Bob leader atm?

Bad:

Mohinder.. never liked the guy seems really dumb for a professer shot the best char in hrg (killed) and just injecting himself randomly with stuff he has NO IDEA what it will do. This is the same guy who shot hrg cause he thought if he killed bob no one could stop the shanti virus crap? sry to his fans but he is just an IDIOT personally i hope he takes on sideffects turns into a big green blob and kills maya while he is at it.

Nathan: One of my fave guys, his char changed quite a bit with talking about god and stuff will see were it goes i guess though.

No haitan!!!

Not good, and that's for mulitple reasons that are of course my own personal opinion and I'm sure many disagree with me lol.

1 For one I don't like Parkman being shipped off to Africa, I like the cahracter when he's interacting with others of the heroes and now he's dumped far away just like that and judging from the spoilers I've read, he'll stay there for a while.

2 I'm getting fed up with Ando and Hiro being paired off and doing their own thing, this is the third season that starts like that and frankly, they don't interest me that much. I like Hiro but only when he's with Nathan, the two together are priceless but alone Hiro bores me. I always skipped their parts and even with superspeed thief I still do.

3 Peter in Jesse, big nono, big dissapointment that he's still in there but hopefully that will change soon.

4 Tracey as the long lost triplet sister, I love the actress and I loved Niki, why can't we just have her? Why the need for such a soap like solution to keep the actress?

5 Mohinder with the serum, I know there was something up with the way he was obsessing over his father's work but to use it like that? Talk about a Jekkyl and Hyde kinda scientist, seems scientist are just plain selfish that way. And now he's turning itno superbug or something? Right, fly away Mohinder, right back to India. Oh, and take Maya with you because she keeps falling fast for the wrong guys

Of course, there were also many things I did like just to level this out a little bit, don't wanna make this one complain fest.
1 The fast pace that kept me on the edge of my seat, episode one did that.

2 Sylar, that character just gets better and better. The way he's still evil but seems to lapse a little in that department, turning good now is he? And family of the Petrelli's? I hoped and though that it would happen when I read the spoilers so me happy with that.

3 Nathan being used again for soemthing that will probably turn out to be very evil no doubt. Poor guy seems to be getting himself into trouble as much as Peter, and now divine interuption, them being angels......Cookoo!

First of all, I want to point out that when I got to watch Heroes season one I had the whole package-all 23 episodes and I watch it in litteraly in one day (2 hours of sleep perhaps) so you could say that I was 'blown up' with it- become a huge fan...
Season 2 was a lot worse but still asome in a moments, but to see what it has become I am sad and angry in the same time- the way that it is done (it seems like actors just don't feel that special something they did in season one and it is apperant) ,the story, pathetic repeating of used ploting in a noneffective way, loss of ANY consistency, bringing in soap elements and so on and so on- I'm VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED . I see that you guys mostly like it and I don't get why...
Things that I appsolutely hate about this season so far:
- Clare in future -she knows Peter a long time and she KNOWS what he is capeble of and she still thinks she can kill him with a gun (should I cry or laugh at this...) and while we're at it what the hell was he running from being so powerfull (he can TELEPORT AND GO THROUGHT TIME not to mention everything else...)
-fact that Peter has so many lack of basic wisdom to go back in time and do what he did...
-Mohinder- I'm not going to even comment on this...
-Sylar and Clare ...
-Hiro and his storyline- this is like some child got to play with script-literally...
-Peter from future put him self in a guy on level 5( where did he put his body -there is no consistency what so ever any more- everything is possible and all of the characters are acting like nothing is....?????)- where is a butterfly effect there(????) ...
-and to put the cream on top of it Mrs Petrelli is Sylar's mom-WTF!!!!!(and they end it there to make it intriging- that's just pathetic)...
All in all this show became CATASTROPHY and it is nothing like season 1!! It hurts me to say that but that's true folks... sad.gif
P.S.
English is not my native language (I'm from Croatia) so I am not able to express in a way that I really want to...
RaaR
i love it !
seriously, i can't wait for episode 3!

And thx guys for putting the episode download links online because in belgium we'll have to wait another lets say 9 months before we get it on tv Lol !

I am loving this season so far, but it's early days. tongue.gif

Can't say I'm a fan of future Peter though. I mean he's just got every power in the world these days... I wouldn't be surprised if Jessie's soul was trapped in the turtle from the desert scene. I've never been a fan of Peter's powers and seeing what he becomes... annoying :S.

On another note, I'm glad HRG is back working for the company and not a stay at home dad. '.'
wooooosh
liked:
-sylar as a petrelli - nice (even if expectable) shift
-elle finally coming out of the company
-"claire, that's disgusting"
-some nice paire-scenes
-hrg (like always)
-maya saying something else than "alejandro"
-angela petrelli in charge of the company (i love her!)

didn't like:
-mohinder... ... ...
-ando and hiro doing strange things on their own
-all those "really evil guys". i always liked that even sylar was some kind of not-evil somewhere inside...

Ænigma
Like everyone else has pretty much pointed out, there not really leaving us hanging with anything and the seasons story is going really fast, But im loving it. Honestly I didnt think Season 2 was that bad but I didnt wait as long as most of you did.
jackieblue
U r so happy... but i'm not...
because we have to see the show untill the next day in CHINA
Melissa78
To me just okay looks like it is leading to the path of Getting really ridiculous in my opinion......Maybe it will improve....We will see....
numptyj
Ando getting 'Ryu-esque' powers
AWESOME!
but killing F-Hiro...not acceptable! lets hope the time line gets sorted out! tongue.gif

They seem to be playing up Claire's and Maya's sex appeal more this time around, no?

Not to mention the pop culture references (Nathan's shooting video up on YouTube etc.) pushing it close to being camp but hey, the first two are still amazing episodes so far.

Loving every bit though they should've stuck the tried and true original formula but I'm still optimistic.

Heroes has never disappointed us.
Avellana
I love it!!! Can't wait to see more of Maya. And I like Elle alot more now, even Sylar.
Catch22
I like it. It isn't quite as "deep" as some other shows... But hell, it's fun to watch, and there are more twists than a god d*** Twilight Zone episode.

I was excited...at first. But now? I donīt know what to think. I love Nathan but what have they done to him? I really hope he will stop with this religious crap really soon and Lindermanīs presence will be explained otherwise - a new ability?

Claire - for god sakes, kill her off! She is so whinning and annoying and even the future Claire seems to be that way! This her "I, poor little one, I want to have a normal life..." She isnīt the only one who wants to have a normal life. I dislike her more then previous season.

Peter in Jesseīs body? WTF?! I looked forward to Nathan/Peter interaction. For alliences between heroes, Peter, Nathan, Matt together but they are splitting them again. I donīt like Peter but with Nathan, they are cool and no, I donīt want to see future Peter with Nathan.

Hiro saved the world twice?! WTF twice! He didnīt save the world twice, Nathan did. All Hiro did was stabbing Sylar, screwing the past and put Adam into grave (while he let him drop the vial!) from where he can easily get out.

Mohinder - Spiderman - no, really...

The only people I really liked were Noah and Elle.

And the "I am your father...um, mother line" - I wasnīt suprised at all cos it was stupid,
No more Petrellis please!

So, thatīs all, I hope the other episodes will: bring our Peter back, put Nathan (free from the Godīs crap) together back with Peter and Matt, future Peter will return where he belongs, same with Claire.

Two Claires and two Peters, too much my non-favorite characters for me. Itīs dangerous to put all the trust to their "sweethearts" cos people can easily have enough of them...

You practically eviscerated the words out of my mouth. I wholly concur. Heroes is an intriguing show and has always been deep but this time round they simply threw in some new formulae inspired from other shows. I can't imagine why they would detour from the original flavour in the first place. The similarities are obvious but of course, these are just my opinions.

Nathan - Born-again Crusader of God willed to purge the world of undesirables. A fundamentalist Magneto.

Peter - Self-righteous, detached and deadpan 'saviour' of the heroes. Believes his solution is the solution. How Constantine.

Mohinder - Questionably acquiring powers without fully understanding the potential dangers in the power like the symbiote in Spider-man 3. I'm not surprised if he started dancing down the street Travolta-style or renames himself Venom.

Claire - Letting her special-ness and unique abilities go to her head and has issues about 'making peace' with her past. Wait a few more episodes and we'll probably discover her bones are actually laced with adamantium.

Of course, I do say this in jest and my observations aren't to be taken seriously. Heroes is still unique in its own way but I just can't help seeing and commenting on the similarities, that's all. All in all, the original flavour tasted better but hey, it's a new season and we're only two episodes in so the glass is still half full. Hopefully, we won't be slapped with a premature ending again. Fingers crossed.

One thing I noted is the usage of a Snorricam (close-up camera facing actor where he doesn't seem to move but background does) during Matt's desert scene in Ep 2. This injected an innovative cinematographic flair into the show. I for one appreciate it.
JPW
I am loving it.

I like it how it jumped in so fast. Season 2 dragged on quite a bit and they left us with almsot a whole year and a lot of people lost interest in Heroes around at work and such. Because of the time lapse. So they needed to get fans back in I felt. Be better starting off fast and getting us back into that.

Why should they of slowed it down. Sure it was too much to absorb but it was unbelievable with every moment of it. I couldn't stop for one moment.
