I was excited...at first. But now? I donīt know what to think. I love Nathan but what have they done to him? I really hope he will stop with this religious crap really soon and Lindermanīs presence will be explained otherwise - a new ability?
Claire - for god sakes, kill her off! She is so whinning and annoying and even the future Claire seems to be that way! This her "I, poor little one, I want to have a normal life..." She isnīt the only one who wants to have a normal life. I dislike her more then previous season.
Peter in Jesseīs body? WTF?! I looked forward to Nathan/Peter interaction. For alliences between heroes, Peter, Nathan, Matt together but they are splitting them again. I donīt like Peter but with Nathan, they are cool and no, I donīt want to see future Peter with Nathan.
Hiro saved the world twice?! WTF twice! He didnīt save the world twice, Nathan did. All Hiro did was stabbing Sylar, screwing the past and put Adam into grave (while he let him drop the vial!) from where he can easily get out.
Mohinder - Spiderman - no, really...
The only people I really liked were Noah and Elle.
And the "I am your father...um, mother line" - I wasnīt suprised at all cos it was stupid,
No more Petrellis please!
So, thatīs all, I hope the other episodes will: bring our Peter back, put Nathan (free from the Godīs crap) together back with Peter and Matt, future Peter will return where he belongs, same with Claire.
Two Claires and two Peters, too much my non-favorite characters for me. Itīs dangerous to put all the trust to their "sweethearts" cos people can easily have enough of them...
You practically eviscerated the words out of my mouth. I wholly concur. Heroes
is an intriguing show and has always been
deep but this time round they simply threw in some new formulae inspired from other shows. I can't imagine why they would detour from the original flavour in the first place. The similarities are obvious but of course, these are just my opinions.
Nathan - Born-again Crusader of God willed to purge the world of undesirables. A fundamentalist Magneto.
Peter - Self-righteous, detached and deadpan 'saviour' of the heroes. Believes his solution
is the solution. How Constantine.
Mohinder - Questionably acquiring powers without fully understanding the potential dangers in the power like the symbiote in Spider-man 3. I'm not surprised if he started dancing down the street
Travolta-style or renames himself Venom.
Claire - Letting her special-ness and unique abilities go to her head and has issues about
'making peace' with her past. Wait a few more episodes and we'll probably discover her bones are actually laced with adamantium.
Of course, I do say this in jest and my observations aren't to be taken seriously. Heroes is still unique in its own way but I just can't help seeing and commenting on the similarities, that's all. All in all, the original flavour tasted better but hey, it's a new season and we're only two episodes in so the glass is still half full. Hopefully, we won't be slapped with a premature ending again. Fingers crossed.
One thing I noted is the usage of a Snorricam (close-up camera facing actor where he doesn't seem to move but background does) during Matt's desert scene in Ep 2. This injected an innovative cinematographic flair into the show. I for one appreciate it.
