From wat i remember shes still stuck somewhere in the future just before peter and adam met... did she just disappear into the future? has peter forgotten about her that easily?

I'm sure we haven't seen the end of her.. At the moment Peter is stuck inside Jesse's body and can't really do anything about Catlin's situation.. And before that he was pre-occupied with you know.. the whole saving the world thing...

well how can he go back to the future that never exist? they went to the future when the virus exploded and they stopped it right?

The writers have already confirmed that we won't find out what happened to her. The writers also said that Peter was going to save her, but the strike put a stop to those ideas.

Surely, using those criteria. The future Peter created a duplicate of himself by travelling back as his reality is now gone and Present Peter will mature into a different Future Pete.

The gaping plot holes are starting to annoy me with this show.

No I love this. As f_Peter has messed things up, and he knows it. When/If he decides to return to the future, he knows everything is gong to be different. I get the impression he is being set up as a later villian.

Caitlin were supposed to be saved and brought back to ireland by peter at episode 15 of season 2.
However, due to the strike they weren't able to do this and since they would have to rewrite the whole thing now (while it doesn't fit in the new plot anymore) they obviously dropped it.

They can't just leave it at that and act like it never happened though.. Peter was supposedly in love with her, and knowing Peter, once he gets back to his normal self, he won't let it go just like that...

Well I'm not happy about this myself but it seems that they decided that way for now. :/

As an Irishman I can safely say that her accent is 2nd only to that of Sean Connery in The Untouchables, i.e. rubbish. Half of the "Cork" actors were speakin in an english accent. That one from Star Trek was anyway.

because he changed the future though that well he killed Catlin in the process right? She was stuck in the original future but now Peter's changed that. Therefore there is no future to go back to save her from... right?

She got captured in the original future, so I just assumed since the future changed, there was no way to really bring her back. Peters life hasnt really slowed down an inch since he stopped the virus so I hardly think he would have been able to think about it. Especially being locked up now.

They can BS it and say she died of the virus and Peter forgot to save her in time (he had to have saved her before he stopped the virus)

Once the virus is destroyed the future timeline no longer exists.

If he tries to save her now, it might cause a temporal anomaly (I think f.Hiro mentioned that could happen in the first season).

I dont like the fact that the writers just ignore this...??

I agree that this should have been looked over before they went along with the whole changing the time-line.

Maybe (and this is a long shot) that seeing as she is now part of the future that she changed along with it.
so maybe now seeing as the future has people full of powers she got a power and when peter goes back to
get her (hopefully) he will meet her and be all like "I love you" but she turns out to be evil
and he has to kill her, THE END

Although being Irish it hurts to have such a major Irish role be thrown away.
but at least that would close the plot hole.

And yeah, it is pretty lame the way they did this.
Because now it's just too confusing to try to figure out what happened to her, and it's a little strange that Peter has this 'out of sight, out of mind' attitude about her when he apparently was in love with her before. v_v
But who knows? It's only the beginning of the new season, so they have plenty of time to wrap this thing up. But then again, I could see how that'd be hard with all these new plot lines and things that have been created. So I dunno. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Season 3 is way off the storyline from season 2 so i guess he wont save her anymore.

And she cant get any powers from the future coz shes in a different alternate future where the virus went off. the future in season 3, people are getting powers from the serum or watever and not killing them...

But what i was thinking is that people changed along with the future.
so she was in the future where the virus went off
but then the future changed
and now she is in the future where people are getting powers.
but because of the change she no longer remembers peter


It would be the best way to kill her off and end the problem of plot holes.

I'm thinking of two things that could've happened to Caitlyn:
1. Future Peter sees her and says "You're not supposed to be here," then brings her back to the present. End of storyline.
2. The future with the virus does not exist anymore, so she vanishes with it. End of existence.

Who knows since shes a human like monhinder, and teh virus didnt go off, peter could
meet her someday and she could be "genetically enhanced" lol. just a theory

Maybe a different version of Caitlin is still in the present in Ireland having never met Peter. Many different timelines or something. As Peter prevented that virus furture from happening the past reverted to normal as well. It makes sense in my head . Sort of like when Hiro went back in time to save Charlie people in the diner's history changed. Maybe someone who understands where i'm coming from can explain what i mean better.
