I am a big fan of The Xmen, the comic and the movies
a little disappointed in the last movie but the first 2 were awesome

Did you like the way they handled Cyclops in The Last Stand? I didn't but to be fair, James Marsden was working on Superman Returns as well. Are they making a X-men 4?

I hope so, they really set it up well. WIth powers coming back to people who "got" the cure. Also with proffesor X going into someone elses body

Halle Berry said something that it's up to the fans if there will be a fourth one or something like that. Anyway the third movie was disappointing but the way it was set up seemed like there would be another one

They confirmed X-men 4 in a article thing, but then its been on and off so I am not sure anymore.

When I re-watched the third one on DVD it was better than when I saw it in the theaters. And when I watched the deleted scenes, there is an alternate ending where Rogue tells Bobby she couldn't get the cure. I wish they would have left that one in!!

i'm kinda sad they didn't have the marvelous mental called deadpool in the movie he would have added an excellent amount of comic relief

They have to make a fourth movie, the third movie was far to lame to end it there

I thought that they were making a movie called 'Wolverine'. That's what I heard. It's supposed to be a spin off about wolverine or something. I don't know if it's true or not though.
Jester77
Jan 27 2007, 01:02 PM
Why bother making a spinoff when the actual movies are basically oriented around Wolverine? Sounds kind of pointless to me, just make a fourth movie..that's my suggestion

at some award show this year when halle got her award for something she said to write to some producer if you want an xmen4. so there is either goin to be an xman4 or a wolverine.

The Xmen are probably my favorite marvel heroes. I mean, why have just one power? Why not many?

Compared to the comic books, I think Storm is the most awkwardly casted in the movie. She's supposed to be authoritative and strong. In the movies, she seems girly, petite and shy. They should've casted someone like Angela Bassett instead of Hallee Berry. The third Xmen was a bit of a disappointment for me. They made it too fast and it seemed to focused on effects rather than story. There were also scenes in the movie which were really weird for me and made me quirk an eyebrow.

I heard about the Wolverine movie, & I even heard about a Gambit movie! A lot of fans were disappointed that Gambit didn't make an appearance in the movies (me included!

), but he might be getting his own movie anyway... Rumors rumors.

I think Josh Holloway from Lost would make an excellent Gambit.

Have to agree 3rd was poor, unlike SPIDERMAN movies...they are so good and the 3rd is going to be amazing IMO

I couldn't agree with you more. Halle Berry as Storm was really badly done especially in the third movie which was a huge disappointment. I completely agree that they focused far too much on special effects then having an amazing story, which felt completely crammed in the movie

The first and second were alright. I was disappointed that Bryan Singer wasn't returning. I've seen the Rush Hour movies and expected that X 3 might not be so good. Everything was really too rushed. Sure the Alcatraz scene was really Wow, but the movie certainly wasn't.
The ending also left me a little confused. There has to be a 4th now! They can't end the series like that!
I hope everyone here stayed til after the credits of X 3 to see Professor X live in the end.

Yeah I own the first two movies and they're pretty good but the third felt like it had way too many storylines crammed into a very short Marvel movie..and it's true they have to have a fourth, they ended the third with a cliffhanger

Angel did not do anything in the whole movie except fly around...
Another character that was disappointing in the movies was Rogue. Again, she was supposed to be a strong & tough woman, but in the movies, she barely lived up to her name.

Definitely, I agree...
& why did Callisto's power change?

(she took Quicksilver's??) I don't get why they made the Morlocks side with Magneto either...

Why have a Wolverine movie? All the X-Men movies center around him, a Wolverine movie would just be X-Men 4

Wolverine's story would center around him and Stryker more. He was born during the Victorian era, so there's alot of ground to cover.

my god i thought the 3rd movie was the best out of the whole three. The effects were absolutly amazing and Dark Phonix was so wicked just how she would turn evil and have so much power. There has to be a 4th one casue if u look closely at the end where magneto is playing chess by himself u see he tries to move the metal chess piece, and if u look closely it does slightly move, so maybe a glitch in the cure and powers coming back? What ever happens x-men 3 is one of the best movies ever seen.

Also there was a scene at the end of the credits where Charles had transported himself into another person's body, so there really should be a fourth movie or it would be stupid

I hate how they make Rogue so weak.
I mean, it would really suck to not be able to directly touch anyone, but she needs to start using her powers as an offense instead of just being a tag-along. More like she did in X2 when she used Bobby's power to put out the police cars on fire, and sucked the life out of Pyro to get him to stop. And I also think it's really lame that in X3 she was in the Danger Room, how is she going to protect herself against a sentinel? Seriously?
Ok, rant over.

It wasn't just she was weak. Rogue seemed so marginalised in the movie. Her whole decision about whetever to "cure" her powers or not needed a lot more screen time to make an impact. Her at the end just felt like an afterthought.
Oh well, I hope Lorna shows up in the next one.

Another thing was how the movie crammed so many amazing storylines into one short hour and a half long movie, everything was so rushed, ruined the whole thing

X2 was the best in my opinion as well. I thought X3 was a little rushed. Josh Holloway from lost was approached to play Gambit and Tim Rothman won't rule out an X-men 4, but he doesn't guarantee one either. Here's Josh's interview:
