I think Daphne is a good guy but she just doesn't know it.
I'm convinced she's going to do the right thing in the end but right now she seems absolutely petrified of Pinehearst.
Matt seems to offering her all the answers but she's not listening. Or maybe arthur told her that's how parkman would get out of the situation (staging an illusion) so she knew what to expect. She could have just shot him tho, or knox could have just gone into the next room and killed them for real of he knew about the 'play' they put on.
Which leads me to think they (arty et al) really thought they were dead. So why was she then speaking on the phone to him?
Matt can see into her mind so she can't keep it up for long surely?
Not sure why the writers are showing her to be conflicted
What do you think?

I still don't get it.
Knox sensed the fear in the illusion?
Or did Matt just put the 'fear' in his head?

i think arthur planned it this way, to have daphne go fool matt and everything. BUT, he didn't tell knox, knowing that knox will go there and just kill the illusions.
and as for matt finding out sooner or later - he might. but the mind reading thing is something that he must exercise to use isn't it? he can't use it completely unaware, so if he doesn't suspect daphne of anything he wouldn't bother reading her mind. she's his true love remember, so he probably trusts her.
the whole illusion thing was probably to make him really believe that she was on his side.

If you look at Daphne's expression, she definitely isn't happy about working behind his back. My bet is she'll confess everything to him soon.

its most likely since they do end up getting married. (i think the like eachother in real life aswel ,saw them at a convention here in london on sunday n they kept flirting like crazy)

I think she's informed Matt on everything. Because you really can't hide a plan from a telepath ha. Especially one as strong as Parkman. I think they will play her look of "discomfort" as an overall look for the situation and everything that is happening. Not so much as a look of "I don't want to stab you in the back" but more so a look of "Man, this whole situation sucks" ha.
But obviously right now, the look is to hopefully confuse the audience.

The illusion was fixed so that Matt can trust that Daphne was on his side and will help him
This is so that she can find out more about Primatech for Arthur
Like I said in a different thread, it could also be an elaborate triple cross by Daphne
She doesnt want to face Arthur because Arthur can read her mind and find out that she is tricking him

IO think the idea of a triple cross is a good one. I noticed on the rewatch she said something about if he gets in touch with Primatech, but I'd think she would say "Matt's going to get in touch with Primatech" if she was actually going to betray him.
