Now I'm not here to bash Elle I don't think there is anything wrong with her character(other than a distinct lack of development) per say but what is so good about her? People are coming on here and saying that last night's episode was great and almost all of them stated it had something to do with Elle having so much screen time. Honestly her character has barely been developed, the only thing remotely interesting about her was her relationship with Bob and know that is obviously gone. So as far as obsessing over Elle goes let me just ask why?

Because she's a slammin' hottie.

Her character isn't complex, but her attitude is great. Shes funny in her own way.
She's obviously having trouble and shes so d*** cute!
Elle is my favorite because shes adorable and amazing.
Her power isn't AWESOME but it works for her.

Though I can't speak for everyone, I like her for the same reason I like Claude. POTENTIAL. First off, she's got an interesting and powerful power. Sure Claude's isn't majorly powerful in itself, but it is interesting. Electricity, and the potential for that, is something we'd like to see more of. Second, the development she has had, both in the previous season and in this current one leave plenty open for us to think about and hope. After all, in like her second (or third) scene she fried some guy and seemed somewhat pleased with herself. Then there was the sadistic shocking of Peter and treating him like a toy. What makes her tick like that? In the same vein Claude in his few appearances has an misanthropic demeanor which leaves us wondering how he got that way and what the potential for him could be.

The fact that Kristin Bell is a major hottie also factors into other people and makes them obsessed.

In the most recent episode we were able to see more of her, and find out a bit more about her personality, which made Elle fans happy.

I think people like Elle because she was awesome in Season 2, plus it's Kirsten Bell. She has a huge cult following from Veronica Mars, plus she's f*cking hot. Honestly, this season she has been stripped of everything that made her cool, namely her relationship with her father, and her fetishistic (i just made a new word) relationship with Peter. Honestly, I didn't enjoy ANY of her scenes in 3x07, and it's because of that. I don't like having Elle helpless. It's more boring than Claire. The last cool thing she did was in Butterfly Effect. Even though she messed up there, I still give her mad props for being the only d*** character to not just lay back and take it when Sylar started cutting open her noggin. I was waiting eagerly for her to come back into he fray for the past few episodes, but so far she hasn't done anything interesting. I miss the cocky Elle, ala "Hey Fight Club, watch this". wink.gif
Unsung Heroine
Never underestimate the power of the FanBoy.

All kidding aside, I think Elle adds a lot to the show. It's a shame Kristen Bell has to have, like, a career and stuff, bc I'd like to see her as a permanent full-time character. I like having a girl on the show who isn't a helpless damsel in distress, a raging power-hungry b****, suffering an existential crisis, or rolling over for any man with a strong jawline and perfectly scuplted stubble (I'm looking at you, Maya and Nikki/Jessica/Traci/whatever the next one's name is).

Give me crazy, deviant, and (even somewhat underdeveloped) psychosis over that stereotypical drivel any day! biggrin.gif
Ellesmygirl
haha agreed with everbody sept the first post =\
That's so true, i wish she was a series regular, but i'll settle for
a reoccuring character. And yeah i didn't even start watching heroes up until Fight Or Fight.
Because of her. Then i fell in love with this show.
So thanks you Kbell.
qinrawks
because... she's hot.

she has this awesome attitude about her. how very screwed up is she, when all she wants to do is just get her (dead) dad's approval.

i have to say, after heroes, and then gossip girl (her narration is nothing short of awesome), i've become a huge kristen bell fan. i should start watching veronica mars soon eh!

Imo invisiblity is one of the most powerful abilities around in heroes as long as you dont use it like peter, "im gonna use it till i get to the main villians and than slam the door open and become visible" lol ><

Anyway yeah Elle is the hottest girl on heroes and unlike claire, maya when they complain and whine all the time about her powers i REALLY felt sorry for her and what she was going thro last episode. But i hope she doesnt do it 24/7 like claire does with "i dont know if im even human anymore" geez girl change the record??

I also hope she doesnt lose her power, i think its quite strong all though she doesnt seem to be immune to her power like Meridith, how the hell did Adam escape her tho in Four Months ago in s2 i allways wondered that.

Yeah you so should start watch Veronica Mars!

I think, the reasons why Heroes is very sucessfull are the villains and morally-grey characters the writers invented: HRG, Sylar, Nathan, Adam Monroe, Petra Petrelli, Niki and Jessica and of course Elle Bishop. I don't think that Elle's characters isn't complex; it is much more interesting than Claire's or Maya's or even Peter's character and her power, lightning, is not just a power but a symbol: it stands for insanity. Just like Sylar, Elle is a sociopath ( sadistic lightning); in the Second Season you could see how she killed and tortured without even noticing that she's done someting that's not right and in the Third Season she is tortured by her own power just like the countless people she killed. Something inside her is going mad and tortures her with her own power; yes, I think that's quite interesting.
And ( because I'm a girl) I don't care if she's hot or not and I think in the last episode she looked a little bit like Veronica Mars ( I like VM, but not in Heroes!). I just hope they won't kill her or take away her ability or some other bitchiness the writers could think of ( I won't forgive them what they did to Niki, my favourite character)

You can tell if a character is going to be killed off becuase it says "Guest Starring" instead of them in the main credits. Unfortunatly, Elle is Guest Starring in the next episode.
Obi-Wan Gibnobi
Guest starring doesn't have to mean a character is being killed off. This is generally for recurring roles. Jamie Hector has been guest starring all season. So,......

Elle is my favorite character!
I love Kristin Bell and I think she does great playing Elle. she's a very cool character, her power is awesome, and I think she's way more interesting than other females in the show right now (Maya and Claire). She has a lot of potential, like some said, and I would love to see her character more developped, because she's simply great! I love her attitude tongue.gif
nexusofpower
First of all, I'd like to say that Elle is HOT wub.gif

But she's just got such an amazing personality. It's so refreshing to have someone like her, when most of the other characters are all sombre and serious all the time (even the ones that aren't preoccupied with saving the world- I'm looking at you, Tracy Strauss!) In this episode, she's really quite pathetic and without any of her Season 2 flair ("Watch who you're shoving, pom-pom!" is IMO the best Elle quote ever)

So if we see Elle again (which I pray we do) i'd love to see her getting over her daddy issues and losing the crazy electric overloading thing

Plus, we barely saw much Elle in Season 2. We were subjected to endless hours of Maya & Alejandro, Hiro & Kensei, Peter & Caitlin etc. that we didn't see enough of her!

Here's something ironic about Jamie Hector!! He's literally, a Haitian! So although Jimmy-Jean Louis plays the character called the Haitian, Jamie Hector is the real Haitian

(I know that could not have been more off-topic, but I just HAD to post that somewhere)
speed
i just figured i would say this for my 100th post

Kristen Bell is SOO d*** HOTTT!!!!
itronik
congrats on post 100, and, oh yes, she is. I didn't mind watchin those two at all wink.gif
