So i'm sure we all knew that Arthur, Flint and Knox were in the painting:

but there was some debate over who the fourth villain was, nathan, peter or sylar.
Now i'm sure it's sylar, evidence:

Notice the same line on the forehead of both men in the painting, that same line shown above their left brow.
So obviously at some point in the near future sylar goes off the rails again.
d***. I liked the anti-hero sylar.

I can tell you for sure that it's Sylar.

I can tell you for sure that it's Sylar.
Also the painting of past events showing him head slicing his first victim surely means it is Gabriel.

So what does this mean for sylar during the course of this next season? probably something quite different from what we would have predicted after the last few episodes.
I expected him to become a hero by the end of this chapter, but now i'm in doubt, if he is shown by usutu to be the villain then we can expect that it is a long term thing and not just sylar spying for angela, otherwise usutu would surely have seen it.

I expect him to back to his old ways eventually, but like you mention he probably will be the good guy till the end of the season so when he does go bad again, it has much more effect as we have seen the good in him(aswell as his family).

I personally think its Nathan he was President in the future episode and working for pinehurst, Gabriel was not but still not sure how much you can read into that. But Nathan allways ends up the President it seems no matter what future so its a decent shout i think.
Btw why is D a m n blocked by the filter?

As far as I'm aware it isn't bloked,...... damn. Its just a lot of people like to use expletives when using such words.
Anyways it could be Nathan, but the second painting showing Gabriel's first kill makes me think its more likely to be Gabriel.

there was off-screen confirmation that the top-right is Sylar. I can't remember the website I got this info from, but if I find it again, I'll post the link here
Future Nathan isn't shown to be working for Pinehearst. Although Pinehearst developed the ability induction formula first, I'm sure that when powers become mainstream the formula would become government business, and it would fall to Pinehearst to deal with other things like dangerous abilities. However, it doesn't look like Present Nathan is going to be working with Pinehearst any time soon, as Peter has seen what they do in the future now

I hope he (Sylar) goes dark again too. But also I believe that he will go out in a huge bang at the end of this season too.

Very interesting, indeed. I wonder if Sylar's return to the dark side will have something to do with the thoughts we've been discussing over in the thread "Eris Quod Sum". In a nutshell, that somehow the eclipse will cause a more finite definition between Hero and Villain and force those who've been somewhere in between to one side or the other.
I'm willing to accept Sylar as a full-fledged villain again, but I'm torn on how I want it to play out. On one hand I want it to happen quickly so that I'm not distracted in the meantime knowing that his current conflict is all for naught. On the other hand, I want it to play out more slowly so his current conflict doesn't feel like just a cheap ploy.
One thing is certain - with Sylar and Arthur on the same side, the Heroes have got to get their act together and a power player needs to emerge. I would love for Peter to be that person, but his powers are gone, and let's face it, he hasn't exactly ever shown the type of strength that could believably take on a team as powerful as Arthur and Sylar. Especially with support from Knox and Flint. It makes me wonder how the Heroes will stand a chance.

The death of one of the parents at his own hands will send him over the edge. It's been done, i know, but I'm 100% it will be family related.

My idea is Sylar is still with his mum, he's just masquerading as father's favourite son for now...

@ Cylar
Your're right. In fact, I would be a bit disappointed when he really joined his father's site...
I'm certain that he is still on his mother's side and really "saved" Peter at the end of the last episode. He's always been "mummy's boy" why should he turn dark again just because his father told him some rubbish? Btw I think that he started to really like Peter as his brother, so he saved Peter again ( still on "mummy's order"

). Now he's playing the "villain" again...and Peter is the only one who knows that Sylar is still a good guy --> I presume that there will be a great finale in this Season...with Sylar as the hero...maybe

We'll see

yeah, it's probable that Usutu painted the four villains painting after seeing a precog vision of the four of them together at Pinehearst (hence the Pinehearst logo) in the centre, without actually knowing what they were going to do. I really believe that Sylar is on the side of Angela/Peter, and that Arthur was lying about Angela trying to drown Baby Sylar (and apparently Sylar's IA lets him know when someone's lying)

maybe Sylar will do something really good, become a great hero but either only a few people will know or he will sacrafice himself or something, something tragic I mean, now that he's good
EDIT: plus Sylar should be able to tell when people are lying (most of the time) see my post in the Erıs Quod Sum topıc
