Yeah I have trouble sometimes with how they handle the presentation Claire's ability (and some others) but I mostly try and over look it. I think you just noticed another error, probably because it is a TV budget. Sorry to remove the mask of realism a little.

Claire's hair usually heals back (think of the scene from Company Man). Although this makes absolutely no logical sense in Heroes, it's just TV logic so that Hayden doesn't need to get her hair cut
