Judging by all of their previous encounters i would have said there was no way that this relationship existed. Seems really poorly written to me, like the writers didn't have this planned from the get go.
That's actually the feeling i get from heroes a lot of the time, that the writers are just making it up as they go, rather than having a concrete storyline set out before they started, explains why we see so many possible plot holes or shady goings on story wise.
Cant stand LOST but I would tentatively agree with you on this one.
They did not connect and on this one thing they definitely made it up after.
(no matter how they try to tie it all in now)

Singaporeans united. haha.
Anyway regarding plot holes. Sylar and Elle.. Sylar did blame her for making him what he is, but that's only in Season 3. I guess in Season 2 the encounters were too brief for much talking between the two... And Elle kept telling her dad she can handle him, if I recall correctly, and Bob kept saying no... so she is implying she knows him... from before
Sylar Blames everyone for making him what he is!!
Chandra Suresh, Elle you name it, no one made him what he is he had the hunger no matter what
unless he was injected to make him so, which is unlikely as Angela said Nathan was the only one who's
powers did not manifest.
