Flint: Some invisible man tackled me in an alleyway!
It's nice that they're paying so much homage to Claude now (the GN's now this quote form Flint). Unfortunately He was in New York at the time, he left the Company a long before. However, perhaps these references mean that they're closer to getting Claude back on the show

just said the exact thing in a different thread but I absolutely hope they get him back but it won't be in volume 3 anyway.

well it's always 'one of us, one of them' right?
So Claude had to be eric roberts partner... cause Eric Roberts was alone in the shop wich means his partner would be around, and it was Claude, but like I said, only the hardcore fans are going to notice these 'errors'.
the averge viewer wont ever notice it, the writers dont really care about it.

I actually didn't realize the invisible man reference until someone mentioned it in a live reaction I was watching but then its innacurate because Claude was on the run after Noah shot him, so there's no way he could have been caught by the invisible man if Claude wasn't even around Texas at this time

It does rather seem that Claude's still working, not with the Company, but behind the Company. I'm thinking he has spies posing as agents in the Company and probably Pinehearst. It does seem plausible that he would help out in missions invisibly sometimes.

well Meredith did mention Flint is dumb, so maybe someone snuck up on him but cos he didn't see them he thought they were invisible

I assume you are referring to the invisible man refrence? Why are you assuming that the invisible man is Claude? It has been shown before that more than one person can posses the same ability. Maybe the writers don't need to check their fatcs, you just need to think things through a bit more.

While it's not unreasonable to try to associate an invisible man with Claude, there's no reason to think it must have been him. Also, he doesn't need to be either tied in to the company or do absolutely nothing. He can have his own motives for interacting with others with powers.
Just accept that we weren't given enough information and move on.

Of all the references and joining of dots, as it were, throughout this episode
I would hardly call this one AWESOME, even if it was Claude!!!

Yeah, I thought 'Claude!' when I heard that, but obviously he'd left the Company many years ago. Still, I do think it was Claude. Here's why:
The Company is HUGE at this time, so they'll have people everywhere. If Thompson found Claude, it's possible that he conscripted Claude to do a few missions for him, on the agreement that Claude could leave afterwards and Thompson would not notify the Company about Claude being alive
It wasn't a very smart idea putting that line in though

I see no problem with that line...
People don't be so narrow minded... there are more than one who can have invisibility...

Look, it had to be a reference to Claude. The writer's could have chosen someone with almost any power to capture Flint, but they decided they would have someone with invisibility. Why? There isn't anything great or symbolic about this power really. And the writers knew that people would associate invisibility with Claude Rains, therefore, it must be a reference to Claude.

Say does anyone actually know when Claude left the company? I know Claude was grizzled when he met Peter but i do know guys who can go grizzly in 30 seconds if left unattended.

There was an episode, set in the past, where Bennet shot him and assumed him dead. Pretty sure he left the company at that point.

The writers did state they want Claude back and have plans for him; the issue is the actor's availability

.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Claude did knock Flint out, period. Especially if Flint ran into him and he thought Flint was either Company himself or would cause trouble. I always figured Claude traveled over all the place, and the bridge he was shot on is actually in Texas.
