Enemy of Reality

Evening all. Just finished watching this episode (absolutely loved it) which also now makes the UK only two days behind America but I noticed something which I'm fairly certain hasn't been mentioned yet since I've already read a majority of the topics, but was anyone else interested in that homeless dude with the beard who belted Thompson with his forearm that he turned into some sort of metal? And did anyone else notice that when he hit the ground, I'm sure I noticed his arm appear gold, so this made me wonder, is there any kind of speculation or confirmation on who this dude is and what his power is? It was only a split second scene but his arm did look gold after he got hit with the tazer, so I'm like, is this like Bob's transmutation or something else all together?
Fingers crossed he's one of the other level 5 escapees.

His surname is Pine so maybe he has some kind of connection with pinehearst

It did cross my mind about the fire but then I also thought, surely metal wouldn't heat up quite that quickly, especially if his arm was solid metal. In fact I'm surprised his arm even seemed flammable

I just wondered if his ability extended to changing his body into other kinds of metals or materials, similar to how it was always speculated Bob could turn items into substances other than gold. Danny Pine’s ability is listed as Metal Mimicry so I’m assuming he can mimic any metal.

From what we seen we are perfectly able to assume that he could mimic any metal and also it could cover more than his arm, I'm thinking Gold Colossus lol.

Soon as I saw his ability I thought of Colossus, pretty badass ability if he can change his whole body not just his forearm.

We don't really know anything about him, so I don't think we should exclude any theories. Just because his arm got orange because of fire, it doesn't mean he can't choose any kind of metal. Perhaps he can, perhaps not.

Were we not told about this guy before S03E01? Fists of steel or something? Or is that Samedi's power?

Yeah I remember that preview too. Some black dude punching his fist through someone and his hand looking metallic (instead of light just catching the blood) but I guess we can assume that was Knox considering that’s his signature move. Although, back when we got a group shot of Jesse, Knox, The German, Flint, Doyle, Canfield and Samedi, I remember people commenting that Samedi looked more like the guy from the preview (especially because of the arm gesture he had in that shot)… only flaw with the theory is that Samedi’s power is still unknown, but he was referred to as Baron Samedi from one source, hinting at some voodoo connection.

well we do see it light up in flames.. so i'm assuming that this is correct..
and if you'd watch it carefully again.. it goes from more gold to less gold..
so imo, since he's been hit with the taser..
i'm assuming his arm is slowly reverting to its normal form..
