I dont know. I'm guessing they were on a tight budget and running low on creativity.

Elle shattered a glass in season 2 with an electricity bolt (the scene where she's sun tanning). It looked the exact same as what Trevor did.

trevor's ability is kinetic projection.. happy.gif
meaning he's able to project kinetic energy into an object to the point of it's shattering.
as for sylar not 'shattering' i believe that trevor wasn't able to really get all that kinetic energy as gabriel pinned him almost instantly to the wall..

Pretty weak if you ask me,

it was similar to Elle's although he didnt seem to be able to do what Elle does with electricity!
Kinetic projection sounds cool but if thats the scope of the power its crap! (as far as powers go),
although we didnt see much of it, and have not seen Sylar use it since he took it, not even once!
Enemy of Reality
Well from else has been mentioned about his ability, it's supposed to be the 'ability to blow up objects with his mind' which is a more literal and less fancy way of saying Kinetic Projection tongue.gif think of Gambit with invisible playing cards. Glass was just an easy material to use to demonstrate his power, I’m sure it can be applied to other objects too. But correct me if I’m wrong, did he actually try to use it on Sylar? As far as I can remember, he raised his hand planning to try it, but Sylar pinned his hand to the wall with TK.

People were also saying Trevor’s ability was supposed to be how Sylar did the skullsaw effect but this episode proved once and for all that it’s just TK.

Trevor as a character was interesting too, this really smug emo-goth dude, I’m glad he got Sylar’d tongue.gif does seem annoying how Sylar never used this ability but it does look like he’s supposed to regain it.
hellblazer
He did indeed try to aim it at Sylar

But his power is pretty undeveloped if he can only use it when pointing, so assuming he's never used it on a non-solid object like Sylar he would have no idea of the consequences. I guess were never know the extent of it since Sylar probably lost the ability when he got the Shanti virus.
Enemy of Reality
Yeah I remember that scene but that's the part I meant, when Trevor raised his hand but Sylar pinned it back before anything happened.

And about Sylar's 'lost' abilities...
In episode 10 or something, Sylar is shown using that sharpshooting hand sign while aiming at a glass with Elle, so it's speculated that he is regaining his original abilities in the order he gained them.

Heroes Wiki has called it shattering. wink.gif

i like the comparison with gambit..
and i think it's more of like that..
and yeah.. kinetic projection sounds much 'cooler' IMHO so there..
hehe..

I made the thread concerning that ^^ Will be interesting to see Gabriel use if if he does indeed get it back. I wanna' see him blow someone up! smile.gif
