Seeing as the Eclipse has an effect on powers, what if threat guy from the GNs is the catalyst?
SpanksZ
Explain. Why would he be the Catalyst.

Eclipse = Darkness

The sun shines out that bloke. Literally.

I was just a thought. I don't have to prove myself to you!!! smile.gif
I-Don't-Need-A-Name
Catalyst for what? If you're referring to what Mohinder was talking about in the promo for the next episode, I think its Claire.

The catalyst... I thought it was pretty obvious (to me anyway) that it referred to the Eclipse itself. Yeah, according to Mohinder, it has to be something "living in a human host", but he could be wrong. Heck, he dismissed the power-triggering Eclipse as a coincidence! I think it can be something that has always been buried inside everybody, or at least the genetically-gifted ones, that will be triggered by the solar flare. This is heavily-alluded to in the preview video, the way Arthur appears to be deep in thought and the image of the solar flare monitor appearing next to Arthur's face as he speaks.

However, assuming it DOES refer to a person, it's quite likely to be Claire, who is "different" and "special", who many speculated to be the "light" Kaito mentioned in the tape. Perhaps her heal-anything blood will once again come to the rescue? That'd be pretty boring...

Sorry for ignoring the point of this post, but I seriously doubt they will bring this guy back. Probably just a one-off (though undeniably neat) story to introduce the Horn-Rimmed Glasses smile.gif

Interesting... so much for that theory though, 'cos I just saw the preview clip they get in Canada, and it appears that Claire is the catalyst!

So if this is true, any ideas what this "something living in a human host" could mean? Some kind of "virus", a totally new genetic code. some kind of "alien" thing (lol) or something spiritual?

Edit:
While writing in another thread, talking about the genetic code, I had a thought, that could explain something. If Claire is the Catalyst and if her blood is special (you can never die)... this could explain, why Nathan got healed after Peter shot him. He once got Claire's blood, so this "something living" is now inside of him too. And this means, maybe Noah is not so easy to kill either, and everyone else who get's an injection of her blood.

Claire's blood fortified Mohinder's, thus providing a cure for the mutations of the Shanti virus.

So, I'd guess it could stabilize those injected with the formula, or stabilize the formula itself.

sorry to say.. but for me this clip proves nothing..
i still believe that at this point anyone could be the catalyst..
yep it could be claire.. and it could very well not be her..
for someone to be the catalyst.. something as mohinder put it.. is 'in a human host'
so whatever that thing is..
being in a human host does not necessarily mean that it would cause harm to the host..
i doubt that being the catalyst has anything to do with abilities..
it could very well be in hiro for that matter..

which guy are you refering to? the only guy i can remember that has something like sun shining out of him is Ted "radioactive man" Sprague and he is very much dead, so would be kinda hard to be a catalyst

A guy who was in the Graphic Novels, not the TV show. He could emit light and he believed he was gifted by God. Very religious. He's the reason why Noah had to get glasses in the first place. Claire picked out the HRG's. Man, my keys are sticky today. dry.gif

ooo cool, thank you smile.gif i have reason to want to read the graphic novels now. That's cool how it ties in though, when you see the episode you just sort of asume he needs glasses anyway. it's class that there's another link there

Yeah, I love the way that they fill in the blanks in the Graphic Novels. Puts a different spin on finding out about the less exciting bits but also saves show time for other stuff.
