Full Version: Ando's leap to attack Arthur...

How brave was that!!!...

Also I'm prety sure Arthur was planning to kill Hiro after taking his memories (after erasing them all, or transfering Hiro's memories into his own body, who knows) but Ando helped Hiro escape hence his job was only half done...

And Hiro must have been a pretty smart 10 yr old to master his abilities after only a few minutes training from Ando....
Maybe his innocence stops his mind from putting up any limitations that an older mind may have....

This begs the question, did he have this ability when he was 10, or did it only manifest after a certain age?

(Its unlikely he had this ability at the age of 10, but its a good discussion point none the less)

Yeah, although Ando has no powers, he's definitely one of the most brave characters. He does go after Sylar at the end of Season 1, even though he has no sword skill, and knows that he's extremely likely to die (and that was how Ando died in the future from "Five Years Later"

Hiro definitely didn't have his power when he was 10, but Arthur has just removed all of Hiro's memories from after he was 10. He hasn't actually reduced Hiro's brain to that of a 10-year old, so Hiro's power is still intact and at the same level of skill

His face when Arthur stops him..
Talk about LOL.
He does a little Magicarp dance.

Ando's leap made me say"wow, he really has some ability... enormous courage and high jumping biggrin.gif" but I dont think Ando stopped Arthur from erasing Hiro's memory anyhow,

Andos' jump was nothing less than epic.

How awesome would it have been if Ando's power manifested at that moment (with his adrenaline pumping etc.) and he ended up sending arthur into a boulder with red electric power. Then while Arthur is down he could have gotten Hiro away, possibly letting him keep his memory

Probably would have made for a much cooler storyline than hiro thinking he's ten and having a craving for waffles rolleyes.gif

Agility AND super-human endurance! Ando was thrown pretty far, but he seemed perfectly fine--- certainly fine enough to, um, close Hiro's eyes...

The effect wasn't that good though (talking about the high jumping and his being stopped in mid-air). It reminded me of the poor green screen effects in Season 2 (HRG in "Russia", Claire being dropped to the ground, West flying...) Among the least-impressive in this season, IMO.

The scripts during the scene:

Arthur:
I understand you've been dreaming about me.
I can't have that.
That's too dangerious.
I will completely wipe out your memory.

Ando:
Hiro!
Leave my friend alone!

Arthur:
You had one job to do, and now I have to come clean up your mess.
That's what I get for sending a boy to do a man's job.

My observations and questions:
1. Arthur felt Hiro is dangerous because he's been dreaming about him, not for his power of teleport or time/space control. Is that the same reason he killed Usutu for his spirit walk ability and service to others?

2. Arthur intended to completely wipe out Hiro's memory. Just like Haitian's power to make people forget. He considered deleting down to 10 years old Hiro's memory is "completely" wipe out. Hiro at least still has 10 years of memory, thus at least remember himself and Ando.

3. Did Arthur regret arranging Hiro to do something and create a mess for Arthur to clean up?
"That's what I get for sending a boy to do a man's job."
What was the job he's referring to? Keeping/getting the formula?
Does Arthur consider present Hiro is too childish just like a boy and failed the job?
Or he had plan for the 10 years old minded Hiro to do something for him later? But Ando & Hiro finally escaped?

I am confused.

I agree with your first observation and Arthur said the same two lines ( I can't have that. That's too dangerious.) to Angela when she saw him in her dream.
About second one, I thought that he was interrupted by ando when he was wiping out hiro's memory and then his attention diverted to the painting. When he came back to complete his work, ando made hiro to teleport.
My reaction to the third observation is that Hiro was sent to recruit/eliminate usutu (as told by daphne in bar). but Hiro made a mess of that job and started dreaming about Arthur. So Arthur had to come himself to clean up. I think Hiro was sent to kill Usutu (man's job).

Is there anything wrong or somebody wants to add sumthing to it. I am glad if someone does.

- Arthur don't want anyone to dream about the future he is about to create cause more people would know actually what his real plans are. That's why he tries to prevent it from occuring.

- in my opinion he would erase everything out of hiros head making him either to a mindless zombie or killing him in the process after he took it all but Ando and the Eclipse drawing Usutu had made saved hiro.

- the reason why hiro can use his ability that well at that "age" is in my opinion because children are more inoccent and embrace such "gifts" totally. Remember Micah? wink.gif He had control over his ability very fast.

Candice was in around claires age when she manifested but embraced her ability so much that she was one of the characters that had the most control over their ability through the whole series so far. Most of all in such a short time.

i thought Ando's leap was awesome yet a little over the top. i then found if funny how Ando tackled Hiro to the ground even though Arthur was standing away from them tongue.gif

I got the impression that It was to break hiro out of a TK hold, or maybe it was to kick some life into him. he was just standing there doing nothing.

But it was really funny. After I watched it a second time I thought, Ando!? Come on! was that neccessary. laugh.gif

yeh i guess it was just to snap Hiro out of his trance but there were easier ways of doing it, gotta admit it was funny though tongue.gif

what ive been thinking is that Hiro has teleported ando and himself to the year when he was 10, (we dont know that he has or if he just teleported to Japan) but IF he has teleported to the year when he was 10 then he should go to his father and see what they should do (plus i wanna find out what ability Hiros dad has)

How is it possible? if hiro teleported back to the year that he was 10, he would still be the same 28 year old hiro, still knowing that he has an ability and knowing how to use it. Not needing ando to inform and guide him.

This is definitely hiro, with his memories erased down to when he was 10.

well in theory, if hiro is a 10 year old outside usutu's hut, since he didnt know he had powers, then he might of taken them to somewhere he finds familiar. (i'm thinking babylon candles and the book/film stardust here, in a way)

Yeah! I remember that film! The babylon candle takes you to the place/person you're thinking about

I don't think that Hiro teleporting back to the actually time period when he was 10 would have much point. Just give an opportunity to cast Kaito's character... but apart from that... no
StryderSylar202
I think Hiro was able to teleport because his body allows him to go to wherever he is thinking of going
Fighting with a sword reminded him of Kensei so in the end of S1 he teleported to ancient Japan
This time he is 10 years old and was thinking about waffles
He says that the bowling alley place has his favourite waffles so since thinking about it he was able to teleport there
Arthur did not want anyone to know about him so he killed Utusu and paralysed Angela
He wanted to take all of Hiros memories but was interrupted by superjump Ando
Arthur could be trying to take Hiros memories since maybe when Hiro was young he saw Kaito hide the catalyst!!
Hiro was there was Claire was given to Noah (assuming Claire really is the catalyst) and maybe he was also there when Kaito hid the catalyst in her
Maybe Arthur realised that and tried to search his memories for something of the sort and then he would kill Hiro
Instead he wasnt able to finish the job and Hiro is now a 10 year old!!
I think what Hiro needs is a healer like Linderman!

i think claire's blood, the almighty elixir is gonna be the thing to help hiro regain his memory. in S2 when peter had his memories taken away by the haitian, adam mentioned that he can heal so his brain can heal itself. he just needs to think about what is important to him.

so by injecting claire's blood and thinking about yaeko or charlie, hiro's brain will heal itself and he should be able to regain his memories.

It's been confirmed that the Haitian will be restoring Hiro's memories soon.

ando is one of my favorites because he is so hot, and he is Hiro's best friend

Yeah exactly I was going to say just that
If he couldnt do it in S1 did the virus (in S2) maybe enhance his abilities?
Or maybe after the eclipse his powers improve and he can now completely control memories
But I kinda assumed the memories are deleted not hidden so how do you bring them back?
