It was cool that when Simone was asking Isaac to find where Peter is, and they were arguing over it but all the while there was a painting in the back of a man in a black jacket running away and throwing a purse away. Such a LOST moment.

Oh wow I never noticed that, I'll have to go back and rewatch that scene
claire-bear

Yeah, Heroes has a lot of those moments.

I didn't notice it the first time I did the second time when I watched the episode with my boyfriend laugh.gif
Hero
I found out at another forum that videos could be embedded, so along with being able to put the following painting in a gallery, the description contains the link to the vidcap of the scene Isaac may have invisioned:

The goofy thing is that the video autoplays and loops, and although I thought I made it so a user could control it from the context menu, it doesn't seem to respond... Just thought I'd share it. biggrin.gif

Also, the extended preview for episode 19, ".07 Percent" is here.
trustydonkey
i agree
Vemynal
i figured this might be the best place to ask this.

Do you think "Painting the future" was just as much of a crutch for Issac as his harrowin?

It shows Sylar prepare to paint a picture, his eyes go white, and he "see the future" then stops before painting and is hella pissed off since he's not the one to blow up the city. he later finishes this painting.

Bu the point is he was able to "Look into the future" and comprehend it without painting it. Just got me wondering whether Issac's true ability was ever seen.
DarkHero
Isaac is a pretty weak hero, he only has 1 passive power and It's to paint the future. If Isaac were still alive I don't think he could have survived long in Season 2 because he has no offensive powers, all he could do if he was confronted by a Villan is paint him or her a pretty picture. laugh.gif

Ive always wondered what exactly Isaac meant when, facing death at Sylar's hands, he told him he would die happy becasue he had told the others how to finally stop him and the bomb.

This confused me a little as Isaac had continuously painted the bomb, implying its inevitability. Does he only pain POSSIBLE futures which change with ever new decision made. Or does Isaac paint a future that WILL occur but ONLY IF NO ONE LOOKS AT THE PAINTINGS AND THEN TRIES TO CHANGE IT?

Also how exactly did Isaac's comics tell the others how to stop Sylar- Hiro relies on a half finished no-dialogue sketch in the end, not Isaac's complete final 9th wonders comic, which is picked up by a courier but NEVER makes it into anyones hands (I had assumed Nathan would be the recipient, but in the end his actions were based on different motivations in the finale)

thoughts anyone?

Well the explosion did happen but in a way that avoided destruction and Isaac drew Hiro stabbing Sylar with his samurai sword so that was the way that Sylar would die. Meaning Isaac would be a hero for giving away how to kill Sylar

How come Hiro ended up with a script= not the final 9th Wonder. Isaac completed it, it should be fully in print. I thoguht it was very relavant that Isaac had totally finished it, as in there would be more detail in there explaining how our heroes would stop Sylar. For example theres nothing in the script Hiro has about Peter blowing up, or what Nathan's role is.

I've always thought that Isaacs view of the future changes as Time ebbs and flows with new choices being made. Minority report dealt with the same concept- the future is set in stone- but not if you can see it. ;-)

It was always in black and white, I don't think that he had the time to finish it and Peter and Nathan weren't significant, it was Hiro killing Sylar that really mattered

yeah Hiro is the most significant thing we the audience see in the script, but if the bomb went off Hiro's actions would have counted for little- the dark future would in a sense have come around unless Nathan and Peter worked together to stop it. Certainly millions would have died.
To be honest Im always willing to let the creators 'fudge' things a little or to leave things vague in order ot allow the story to proceed, and Heroes has it tougher by having at least one character to can time travel. I just thought Isaac's finshed comic would be significant. I didnt know it was black and white- wasnt 9th wonders usually color?

thanks

Yeah but rewatch episode 19, Isaac shows the comic to that messenger guy and it's in black and white
Akizu
I honestly think Isaac said that to scare Sylar...and he believed he could be stopped.
Jester77
I don't know so much as if to scare Sylar but more as a reassurance to himself
Obi-Wan Gibnobi
Its also the comic Hiro, Ando and eventually Suresh follow in the future episode, and its still black and white then

His line was true, he was the hero.
orochi222
one of my fave characters. he'll be back. im sure of it lol
stella
lol at orochi222 - he may be back - that's what flashbacks are for!!!
static
issac has to come back, he was cool
BaneSilvermoon
Well, theres always the potential of Hiro ending up popping in on an old character here and there heh. Hiro could even be used to explain how a character could know things they shouldn't have known. "Save the cheerleader, save the world"
BaneSilvermoon
Always seem to me that Mr. E-Sock was still reliant on Heroine to get by in life no matter how far along he came. Like Vemynal pointed out, Sylar did it by sheer will and just filled in the brush strokes. Isaac still had it in his head that Heroine was something he needed.
kincaid
peter knew to save the cheerleader because future hiro told him to!!

and isaac painted what he seen at the time, like hiro stabbing sylar, but if u remember sylar didnt die. isaac thought he would be stopped but hasnt been, so his death was in vain, not really fair, so they have to bring him back to rectify and finish sylar off for good.
cha
i would like to know what happened to isaac now? it really sucks that he died because i think he would've been really helpful in the show.
@Li
Isacc died knowing that his paintings help help the other heroes stop sylar
bob113
i still think isaac saw more then just how to stop sylar
or maybe he hasnt developed to that level
If he did he would have told the heros to make sure that sylar was dead instead of leaving him there.
nuthatch
isaac left 8 paintings.. and noahs out to look for that wink.gif

Admiral Owen

He paints the future as it will be if things continue the same way, obviously that can be interferred with though.

rrichiee
well seeing as how a new set of paintings has randomly just appeared out of no where, he's still brought up in the important conversations and is frequently mentioned smile.gif
Dylok
i wish isaac didnt die
it was cool seeing what he would always paint and what not...
daivd
why did they kill him off. so sad. he was a great character.
earthtomars
Poor Mystery Sock. I really miss that guy.
kekeke
sad for him to be out of the show. but hey.. peter's got his powers lol...
nautdilly
I liked Issac. I wish he was alive and the latino characters were gone.
melinda
i may not have liked him, but I loved the artwork. they should bring him back.
leggi
i liked him and he shouldn't have been killed...... especially with all the drama surrounding him with the drugs and his girlfriend and all that
amplification.

Was that painting relevant? Did it appear somewhere in the series? or it's one of those paintings in the graphic novels, like the painting he did of a woman who got hit by a bus? (gr novel vol 1)
CHero
I can't believe he died! I think he had one of the coolest powers and it would be very interesting to see him in future seasons and chapters.
West's_Baby_Girl_15
