Since this seems the appropriate place for Newbie check-ins, I thought I'd better continue the tradition.

I'm a 31 year old writer/visual artist from the Midwest.... and very obviously, I love Heroes.
Not since The Prisoner and then years later, The X-files, has a show gripped me and forced me to pay it any attention. The writing is stellar (forgiving the word 'Hero' constantly popping into the dialogue), the cast is phenomenal, and the cinematography is brilliant. All in all, I just can't keep away.

And now of course, I have to wait a month before it comes back on. Agh!

*kicks his TV, then pets it*

I know what you mean by how it just forces you to pay attention. When I first discovered the show, I was only like half paying attention to it, and there was something about it that made me go crazy looking for the first episodes afterward. I never intensely paid attention to a television show before.

Yes, exactly. It's like the ultimate fly-paper; it totally just grips you. First by the eye-candy, then by the characters... but above all, their formula is spot-on. You get sucked into the story and there's just no turning back. lol, all of my friends know not to call me for that hour on Monday night, or heads will roll. It's to the point now where I actually unplug my phone when it comes on!

I'm an addict. Grawr.

I'm grateful to have stumbled upon this place. It's like the trail of Reese's Pieces in ET... I can keep popping little bits to keep me satisfied until I find the my way to the show's return. lol.

Exactly! I get so so ticked when my parents try to talk to me when it's on, especially since my mom has been watching it with me the last few episodes and trying to understand what's going on. It's really hard to find a way to say "SHUT UP!!!!" nicely

Man I hate that, especially if the phone rings or once the someone rang my doorbell and since I was home alone I had to go answer it during the show that really ticked me off
