Claire has unending regenerative powers, right? Her Mom doesn't. That's why her mom is so screwed up. The Haitan alters or manipulates memory, memory is developed by building nueral pathways. If the Hatian alters Claires neural pathways, won't they just repair themselves??? In her encounter with him, he stated that he has helped her forget many times....how is this possible???

no neural pathways allow the transfer of information not the containment. memories are actually chemicals in the brain that react with the current so his ability would affect her just teh same. and also he said he helped her mother forget many many times. i think he actually wipes out a period of time instead of specific memories and he realeases a chemical through his hands the can be absorbed through the epidermis.

I agree because if he could just wipe out certain memories then Mrs. Bennet would have remembered the conversation she had with Claire about her missing school. I don't believe the Haitian can go into a person's memories and sort out which ones to erase instead I just think that he has to erase periods of time

There was a mention that his powers are taking them out like little worms out of their brains. So he actually takes something out permanently. That would be the only way that would affect her. Unless, your right that her Regen abilities will restore her memory.

I doubt that even Claire's powers could allow her to remember what the Haitian removes. It's sort of like if Claire had a limb chopped off would another one grow in place or not (I think not)

I don't remember the Haitain saying to Claire he had erased her memory many times. What episode did he apparently say that in?

The Haitian never said that about Claire, he was referring to Mrs. Bennet and that he had erased her memory so many times, so many times in fact that it "bruised" her brain

He said that to her at the end of Home Coming....

That's probably another reason why the Haitian decided not to mind wipe Claire besides that it felt wrong leaving her in the dark, because he figured it wouldn't work anyway, and her mind just might repair itself.

Well we don't know too much just yet but I'm sure that all will be revealed sooner enough. Though I'm guessing that the Haitian has been looking out for Claire for a while
