A Lone Gunman
Ok maybe this is just me going crazy over unrealistic writing, but it seems that something or someone is stopping Sylar from death. I mean look .07 Mohinder knocked out Sylar. He could of then taken a gun or a knife and finally killed the monster. Instead he goes and checks on Peter who was dead, and bring his body to the Petrellis. I mean come on now, this is just ridiculous. There has to be some mystical force preventing Sylar to be killed, maybe he has albeit limited mind control or someone like Future Hiro is preventing his death. Or maybe Mohinder is just an idiot. I dunno.

I wouldn't call Mohinder and i wouldn't say that Sylar can't die, it was more like Mohinder wanted to knock out Sylar and get Peter out of there and knocking out Sylar was the fastest thing he could do

Ya, I was pretty awestruck when Mohinder knocked Sylar out and didn't shoot him in the head with that gun. lame.

Just goes to show that Sylar will be around for awhile

I too have been wondering...How does Sylar survive all the trauma he endures? Early in the Season, Parkman put a few rounds in him and he hopped up and ran off. We know he was hurt after the fall at Claire's school, which messed up Peter pretty bad too. There have been others as well. He doesn't have the regeneration powers that Claire has...if so he wouldn't have been AS intent on getting them. I'm sure he would have wanted to kill her anyway, but he wouldn't have been so driven to grab her if he already had that power. So what is it that allows him to comeback from those devastating wounds???

Well we don't even know for sure if Matt successfully shot Sylar, Sylar could have easily stopped the bullets with telekinesis and feinted the whole being shot thing and as for the events in Homecoming, when Sylar was captured they healed Sylar and in that one scene in episode 11, Sylar is still limping

I think that Parkman's shots had to have hit Sylar...otherwise his telekinetic grip would not have been broken on Clea Duvall's character. Remember he had her up against the wall. As to Homecoming, yes I remember that he was limping when he ran into Eden and The Haitian...the cops even found his blood in the woods later on. Again my question is how does he heal?? You say "they healed" Sylar...do you mean HRG & Company? If so how...by purely medical means or something else? Regardless of all that, there is a chapter in the Interactive novels where Sylar has a bullet wound in his torso that he just seems to "walk-off". I realize that none of us really know, but I a wondering what theories are out there. Is it possible that the sheer power of his lifeforce (with the infusion of so many powers) maintains his life...somewhat similar to the way the "Dark Side of the Force" maintains Darth Vader's life in spite of severe physical damage.

I admit it is strange how Sylar heals but HRG and the Company did heal him after the events of "Homecoming"

Could be a Fluke on the HEROES and they got a Plot hole.

It seems that as hard as they try that they have a lot of those

Actually, given the myriad of characters and broad fictional elements used (time travel, precognition, etc.), I think they've been pretty good about the plot holes so far. Nothing really major has creped up and the minor ones end up being rather frivolous.

Anyway, good point about Mohinder not taking out Sylar. Would have been the perfect opportunity, but of course, we'd lose a really good villain. It's boils down to 'for the sake of the story, we let Mohinder be dumb for a few seconds'.

Ah well...I wasn't too bothered by it...lol, but man, Peter would be pissed if he found out what happened...

"Dude, why in the world didn't you kill him then?!"

"Ummm...oops?" laugh.gif

Linderman wants Sylar to live to be the bomb. I'm 99.99% sure Linderman is healing Sylar.

Wow you seem pretty certain, what's the proof though that Sylar and Linderman are working together?

MAYBE MS actually did something and didn't show us till Chapter 21 and the Delivering of the
body is after MS took care of Sylar.

What do you mean?

They could have made Sylar get pinned inside a closet, that MS couldn't get to him. OR something to explain MS action.

either peter or hiro coulda stopped time and killed him, done....like in the episode when they where in the future

For what reason?

If they would have done something like that I think that Mohinder would have said something or they would have briefly shown that Mohinder had taken care of Sylar. I think that he just left as quickly as possible and took Peter with him

has anyone actually seen the end? are we all speculating or do people know?

I just watched this episode. I'm so glad someone else noticed this. I am completetly baffeled as to why Mohinder let Sylar live.

At first, I thought "Maybe he is too honorable to kill an unconcious man." Then I remembered how he was willing to shoot Sylar when he was tied to a chair.

My guess, while it's lame it makes sense, was simply out of fear. We have to realize that Mohinder is a "non-special" Human. He just witnessed a battle between two "demi-gods" and was strapped to a ceiling because of telepathy. In addition, Mohinder was probably so scared of Sylar that he didn't care about revenge or the good fight at that moment. His only thought process was to grab Peter and run like hell (before Sylar wakes).

Ah, sorry! Good catch. smile.gif
