Auditions are the best part of American Idol though sometimes I feel bad for laughing at the people who really can't sing
melody
Jan 16 2007, 04:56 PM
dont cause 1/2 of them know they cant sing & just go on for the heck of it. i know a few people who did that lol
Jester77
Jan 16 2007, 05:33 PM
Well I feel bad for the ones that come out crying when they should have known better but yes I do realize that some people sing as badly as they can so that they can be on television
melody
Jan 16 2007, 05:44 PM
yea. also family & friends shouldnt encourage those people to go on when they know they cant sing lol

Jan 16 2007, 07:39 PM
I'm watching the premiere now and the judges especially Randy seem to be a little too harsh
melody
Jan 17 2007, 03:57 AM

I guess I have to get on that and watch some tv!

There were actually quite a few good singers on last nigh'ts show... and quite a few horrible ones!!
Jester77
Jan 18 2007, 03:44 PM
Oh man the part with that one girl with the bleached blonde hair and her mom who looked exactly like her was hilarious. I think though that there have definetly been far too many bad singers so far hopefully that will all change when they go to Nashville

Jan 18 2007, 03:49 PM
Humm i really liked it, and ya, the girl/lady with white hair bright red lipstick was sad. For my pick im gonna have to go with the navy officer that sang god bless the broken road by rascall flatts *country fan*

I liked the last girl who performed last night mainly cause she's from my state but also cause she's an incredible singer

Yeah that guy was from my state!! UTAH!!! at least its not my home state i would be so ashamed. But when it goes to nasheville there should be alot of people from Arkansas, which is my home state, so i hope there are no people as bad as him! But the brother and sister who got on i was excited for and the very last guy i thought it was good. Yeah I cant wait for next week Heroes, 24 and American Idol!!!

Ya, i like the siblings, some good old sibling rivalry to make good telivision. I can assume they don't go far. They don't have the whole image thing down.

Honestly, I don't like American Idol, and I never really have (except for last season, but only because of Chris Daughtry <3) but one of tonight's auditions was hilarious! It was the girl who couldn't sing and admitted she couldn't and she said "But you can teach me!" hahahaha! Although she did have a point about someone not being able to sing being an American Idol, just, not on this show...I swear some of these people have gotta be paid to humiliate themselves...

The person I feel worst for on here is Ryan because he has to talk to and attempt to comfort the people once their in tears because they've been cast aside like a bad spot in a banana.
The auditions are always entertaining.

That was seriously kind of pathetic and then Paula and Randy were like but it's a singing competition all the winners had one thing in common they could sing! Oh man sometimes I get embarrassed for the people who really can't sing but think they can and then they refuse to leave. Like on tonight's show there was that one lady who had gone to Hollywood twice and they said no and then she gave some speech on how she could make herself better, just leave when they say no people

i thought the two best friends who were on realy late in the new york auditions were great,
They were good looking which helps alot for the sales.
After the winner wins look at the sales of kelly clarkeson she is smoking hot and her sales are the same AI needs another one of these tbh the only other one to make there name music wise is the fab carrie underwood.
all the others havent realy hit it big as i live in the uk and for almost all except the one's stated they havent made it in the uk or around europe and its reflected in the amount of awards they are getting as well
pappa suresh out !!!!
ps i thought the marine who sang god bless america was good as well i will watch with interest to see if the usa public give him the votes because of the navy connection ???

Oh yeah he was very good and from my state but people should only vote for the best singer and not just cause he is in the military, though that doesn't happen all that often

anyway last nights auditions were crazy, especially that 50 yr old lady who said she was what 26 lol

If I remember it correctly
"So how old are you really?"
"26."
"We'll ask it again. How old are you really?"
"33."
"One more time...How old are you?"
"50."
That was pretty funny...but I thought it was obvious she didn't think she'd make it.
I wonder what percentage of the bad people actually believe they can sing...

Yeah, I cried when Sherman (That was his name, right?) sang for his wife. I have lost 4 people who were very important to me to cancer. I think it was very sweet, he seemed like a great guy. It just really hit home for me, I guess.

Melinda was once again fantastic tonight and I don't know what Sanjaya was smoking to have his hair look like that. By the way I did see the SNL skit and I have to say that it was hilarious, especially with the little girl crying in the audience
