Judging by the trailer, this will no doubt in my mind be one of the movies of the year. It looks even better than Batman Begins, and that was fantastic.
Im drooling with anticipation

Check this link out, I think you'll enjoy.
EnjoyMan, I can't wait for this. So it looks like Aaron Eckhart is being set up for Two Face in the third. Its true to form though for as the villians picked from the Batman world are ones that are more realistic.

I second that, been trying to avoid anything TDK related as i'm going to see it on Saturday. Been kinda hard though as every channel I turn over is going on about it.

I watched 'Dark Knight' on friday night. It's absolutly the best movie in recent times, and indeed the best of the genre.
I loved the movie, Heath ledger did such an amazing job as the Joker, one of the best perfomances by him definitly, he deserves a nomination.. I truly miss this amazing actor.
I also loved the performances of Aaron Eckart (Harvey Dent), Christopher Bale (Batman), Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon), and Michael Caine (he's such an actor!).
Despite the lenght of the movie (I havent noticed that it was so long), it was a movie with no death moments, it kept me captivated all the time. Because of this movie being so over hyped, I created huge expectations, and I didn't get a disappointment.

As you can tell from my updated account, i loved this film. The realistic take on the joker terrified me lol. I think thats whats so appealing about the Batman films; he is a mere-mortal, like the rest of us, and usually fights mortal villains without super-powers, which i think is quite refreshing. Jonny depp as the riddler in the next one? Sounds good to me i think he would do a great job turning the riddler into a "realistic" nut case.

Damn, I've really gotta get round to seeing this film. In fact, I'm gonna try and find it on a streaming site now...
Sweeney T- I mean, Johnny Depp as The Riddler? As much as I love Depp, (and I really do), I think it'll be hard to beat Jim Carrey as The Riddler. The character really suited him. However, Depp usually surprises me in how well he takes on his rolls, so I will probably be shut up.

You will hear lots of stuff about Riddler,... and even Dawes as Catwoman. The next one was supposed to have been a turf war between Two Face and Joker, but that went when Heath passed on.

I wanna see some of the other comic villains like Black Mask and killer-croc, although he might not fit in with the realistic approach to the films. Mr. Freeze could be GREAT as long as they get someone decent to play him; Arnie was hilarious.

Doubt it will be any of those, due to the series being grounded in reality. Though I suppose you could make up some story on Freeze,.... the others though I doubt very much.

I think Black Mask could be done quite easily. Also, Bain would be awsome as some sort of hired hitman who can actually go toe-to-toe with Batman; after all he is the only villain who severly injures the bat.

I think Hush would be a cool villain, especially since he teams up with the Riddler in the comics from what i read.
However he is a bit obscure, Anarky wouldnt be bad because he was meant to be the joker's son, but he might also be a long shot. Also he is a bit too similar to the joker, not insane but the same ideaology.

New Goblin seemed to work all right in Spider-man and I hear HobGoblin might be in Spider-man 4/5, so, you never know.

True but the new goblin, as well as being part of the comic and cartoon storylines, was also a lot different from Norman Osborne as his son Harry just wished to avenge his fathers death not cause the destruction that his father wanted.
Anarky on the other hand is a lot like the joker just without the charasmatic insanity. Although it would fit with his line: "introduce a little anarky".

Besides this is set in Batmans early years so joker would have to have had a son very early to introduce Anarky, Anarky is meant to be just a teenager afterall.

You can't compare the 2 though as they are trying to get different cinematic feels. Spiderman trys to emulate that actual comic book feel, even if it does focus at the same time on lengthy character development. Whereas Batman is trying to ground it in realism, so that leaves fantastical characters out. Comparing what might be done in Batman, based on what is being touted for Spidey is just plain criminal. You would only be able to do that if it was Tim Burton back on the wheel of Batman.
