now lets all practice trying to make the 'transform' noise. IMpossible
I just want to know how they are going to give the Transformers names. Like, why would a robot from another planet call himself Bumblebee? And Jazz? The cartoon never bothered with all that, but this film might take a shot

I saw it, Not bad, but Not great as well... I grew up watching the show on TV and playing with the toys, StarScream is my favorite...
But, all in all, I'll give it an 8 out of 10. I was terrified as soon as I knew Micheal Bay was directing it, but after I watched it, I felt better knowing he is a decent director and human being after all...

I never liked any of his films... But I think he has redeemed himself so far, and I'd love to jinx that as well!

Just watched this, and its not bad, though I do feel the soundtrack carries the movie along, and the story is threadbare, but all in all a good family adventure, oh and Optimus Prime on the big screen,... wow!!

I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as Heroes though lol. I love Heroes too much.
I think that the storyline wasn't that great though. Action and CGI looked good, but needed more depth in the storyline.
Overall 7.5/10.

Yay, finally saw it last night, it was pretty freaking awesome! We went in at 10:30 and didn't get out till after 1 in the morning though! The effects were definitely amazing.
Hehehe "Sam's 'happy time'". And I also noticed that the kid had a Rise Against poster/sticker on his wall I was like, "sweet!" I'd have to give it an 8 or 9 out of 10.

my company is involved in the Transformers license with some book deals, but we STILL didnt get any free tickets. what the hell!!?? I will now have to hand over my ten big ones for a ticket for this. I think the guys in the office are getting together for a July 27th screening, yes in the Uk we are that far behind.

I was too, it was kind of sad because there were two little kids (maybe 5 or 6?) sitting next to me and they were fidgeting less than I was.

I got the soundtrack though, and it's so awesome!!

They should make Harry Potter movies longer and every other movie shorter >.<
The one little annoying robot (I won't even know how to spell the bad transformers so I'm just saying robot) that would NOT DIE and turned into a radio reminded me of something from another movie. The way it jabbered on and on to itself.

That was a given...

But anyways, this movie is pretty good for what it's worth, and I was very happy with the voice cast as well...
Peter Cullen was/is the original voice for Optimus Prime from the TV show, and his voice always cheered me up, brought be back to my childhood for a minute...
Also,
John Turturro was funny as hell too! Wearing that Sector Seven outfit underneath his clothes like some kind of superhero! LOL! That was some great writing on their part...

Jul 18 2007, 03:42 PM
Ohhh ha ha, that's the dude from Mr.Deeds! And the other sector seven guy was Arwin from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. He's the best thing about that show.
They set the movie up for a sequel, but seriously, they should stop at two.

Jul 18 2007, 09:40 PM
Yeah, the Pirates went down after one. I agree, they should stop at 2. Why do people think good movies need sequels? Some should stay as one. What could be worse than 3 Transformers movies, they could become like Police Academy, and have like half a million.

I just read a news article on Hollywood's obsession with sequels and to tell you the truth it is the fault of all the people who go and see them..I have no doubt that a Transformers sequel will do well, it just gets annoying sometimes when all the movies in a theater are sequels
