Ok, here's what happened. I registered at this forum two months ago and then completely forgot what my username was. I requested the information to be sent to my email at least 20 times using firefox and explorer and even different computers. The email never came.

So I thought I could find something in Help. What I got was limited choices in FAQs and then a link to post in the forum if I needed specific help with the site. But how can I post if my problem is that I can't log in?

So then I thought I'd contact the person(s) running this site. Oh wait - there's no Contact link anywhere. Yay.

So finally I saw that all news posts on the main page are by a guy named travis. Hurrah I thought, I can contact travis though the link. Oh Snap!! I can only send him a message or even an email if I'm logged in. Back to square one.

The only reason I was finally able to log in was because I found the original activation email in my Junk folder in my email account.

Something should be done to fix this for others, like maybe a contact link in the help section which doesn't require you to be a member of the site.

That's cool - I wasn't trying to put down the site or anything, just thought I'd bring that up.

Back, back, back in the day I used to try and maintain a site so I realize that there are tons of other more important details that demand attention.

yeah, no it's good that people bring up stuff like that because it's probably the last thing i think about
