Hey Guys.
Ok I just got a quick question.
I had a quick look though a few of the pages and couldn't find anyone asking the same question so I figure that I must have missed something somewhere because I havnt seen every episode fully.
My question is - If peter can regenerate like claire can why not simply let her shoot him to stop the bomb?
Why is claire so upset about having to shoot peter if she knows that he is going to regenerate? And why are they acting like peter is going to die?
I know that if something punctures their skull then they 'die' but when its removed they come back to life right?
If I missed something obvious and this is a dumb question then sorry but they is annoying the hell outta me. I asked everyone that I know that watches the show to and they dont know.

Well I think the point was that Claire would have to shoot Peter in that area of the brain where they do in fact die, so Claire would be killing Peter. Especially since if Claire just shot Peter anywhere it probably would have quickened him going off (recall when Ted was shot by Thompson in episode 17, "Company Man")
Hope that helps

peter did not know how to control his powers... that's where the dilemma started...

I GOT A Q ABOUT PETER FROM EPISODE 23 IF HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO CONTROL HIS POWER WHY DIDN'T HE CONTINUE GOING T THE DESERT OR FLY UP IN THE AIR LIKE WHAT THEY DID WHEN NATHAN CAME TO RESCUE HIM?

Actually, if she shot Peter in the head with a piercing round, it would go in and if it didn't exit, he would die but be brought back easily by removing the bullet. It depends on the type of bullet, the range of the shot, and the accuracy of the shot.
As an aside, I think the real reason Peter blew was more the absorbption of a massive amount of powers at once, instead of solely Ted's ability. He gained all of Sylar's new powers that he may have not gained earlier, he gained Nikki's strength, D.L.'s phasing, Micah's technoempathy, and Ted's radiation emission all in one day.
too many confusing what ifs in this thread

yeah that is a lot of power to handle in one person.
Good question and a great answer. I wouldve said that Claire's healing abilities' extent is unknown so they dont know if he can rise from a bullet to the head, but the 2nd post was a better answer.
