This looks like it's gonna be kick ass! *watches first two RE's*

Does anyone by any chance have video from the panel at Comic-Con?

No video, but I'm really excited to see the next Resident Evil. I actually like the first two, they're good zombie movies. Hopefully this one ends well biggrin.gif

I'm so bloody excited for this move, love both of the other Resident Evil's. Just hoping this one won't be a let down. I've found that I'm really not liking a lot of the third movie's being released lately (Spiderman, POC). But the trailer looks AWESOME! So fingers crossed.

yeah, I'm hoping as well for this movie to be good. Personally I didn't like the other two that much. They were great action movies, yes, but they didn't have the gore, blood and darkness from the game. 28 weeks later its a lot more on that line. And I was hoping so much to see Jill Valentine again (great cast with Sienna imo) but she isn't on this one dry.gif Still i really waiting to watch the third one because obviously Ali tongue.gif

Yeah I was disappointed when I found out Jill Valentine and the little girl wouldn't be in this one.

I'm more excited to see this movie after watching the first two! I can't really complain or critcize any of it because I haven't played the games. Aww, Angela and Jill aren't in the next one? That sucks dry.gif
Novak Fan
yeah...damn Eragon dry.gif btw finally I saw the official trailer and it looks amazing. I can't wait to watch that movie. I hope that they do an international premiere.

The first RE movie is good fun, I hated the second one. This one looks alot better then that, and well it has Ali in it!
Novak Fan
lol I liked the second one because like I said, they did an awesome job with Sienna playing Jill Valentine. But that's it. Btw the other day I found this on msn.com and thought I should share. Take that producers, now WHO is going to think if it'd be a good idea to do another RE movie uh??

Ali Larter had no idea how much her life was about to change. Fourteen months ago she was just excited to be making another studio movie, "Resident Evil: Extinction," after a few years of indies that barely got distributed. And while she would leave to begin production on the first season of "Heroes" in three days time, no one was expecting the series to become the pop-culture phenomenon it has. At the time, Larter was just as grateful for the cool confines of a Mexico City soundstage as she was for the work.

"Luckily you guys are here and not in Mexicali," Larter says to the assembled press. "They say it's the third hottest place in the world. It's the same spot where 'Jarhead' shot, and you're just constantly sweating. I'm hoping it's sweaty-sexy, not sweaty-gross."

Then again, Larter adds, "But, I like that. I'm athletic. I'm a runner. I'm very much into water sports and all different kinds of hiking. So, for me, I love it."

In "Extinction," Larter has traded in her normally blond locks to play redhead Claire Redfield, a character from the popular "Resident Evil" video game who has a different role in the movie franchise. "Extinction" finds Redfield as the leader of a group of postapocalyptic survivors making their way through a vast desert filled with killer zombies and evil birds (really). And while they have Alice (Milla Jovovich) to help protect them, she thankfully can't save everyone.

The "Final Destination" star didn't get to do as many stunts as she'd hoped for here, but there is one memorable skirmish in which Claire's convoy is surprised by a band of zombies while traveling through a barely recognizable Las Vegas. Larter recalls, "We're running and they're chasing me, and they get me down and I fall back, and I come up and like, 'Bam, bam.' I [shoot] them all. That's the fun stuff, when you actually get in there and you get to shoot the guns and it's totally rough and very cool."

The producers kept hinting that a fourth "Resident Evil" was in the works, but even back then, Larter wasn't necessarily going to commit to anything.

"I think that if people go see it, they'll bring me back. If people don't respond to my character, this might be the only one you get with me," Larter says. "[We'll] see where I am in my career if that works."

Considering her newfound success and fame since production wrapped, Larter's asking price clearly won't be the bargain it was the first time around.

If this one's good, I wouldn't mind Ali reprising her role in a fourth at all wink.gif

Ali and Milla Jovovich will be interviewed by AOL and Moviefone's Unscripted. Here's where you can ask your question!

*thinks of a question fast* And just to check so I don't sound like an idiot, Claire Redfield's supposed to be badass in the games right?
Aerdna
*bump*

NBC just launched a site off of the Heroes site for "Extinction" including a convoy game and some exclusive footage!
Jester77
Interesting that they put up a site for that, thanks for the link smile.gif

The interview for Unscripted I that mentioned before has been put up:

Unscripted: Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter

I'm going to have to watch it some other time, but if anyone watches it soon, look out for an Andrea D. I asked a question and wasn't sure if it made it.

Im really looking forward to this movie. I enjoyed the first two and I really enjoy watching Ali as an actress so hopefully this movie will do well in Australia when it comes out.

I saw the movie.. overall I have to say that it was ONLY ok. The ending totally brought it down, but everything else was fine.

Although I wish they showed more scenes of her fighting... Dunno if I'd recommend watching it in theaters, but maybe a good rent when it comes out.

However, I will say that this movie has a good amount of jump scenes.
@Li
Ali Larter's acting in RE was amazinf she really handled the role well in my opinion

...I definitely want to go to the Mall to Best Buy Tuesday to get this movie....

I just saw this movie tonight, and as excited as I was about it, I felt really let down.

Particularly the ending. It was so open ended. They couldn't have possibly killed everyone infected by the T-Virus; Umbrella Corp's base in Japan still needs to be taken down; and what the heck are they gonna do with all of those Alices? I had heard they were going to offer Ali a Claire Redfield spin-off if the movie did well in theaters, which I believe it did, so how are they going to do that with so many questions unanswered on Alice's end?

Also, not enough Alice and Claire together. I know it was more about the convoy as a whole, but I was kind of hoping for more of a team-up between those two.

Other than those gripes, totally bitchinnnn'. And Ali as a red head? Muy caliente
