I never seen it before this season, as I didn't have the WB, but with the CW I saw it for the first time. Sucks that I got into it so late, but I'm planning on renting or buying all the seasons one of these days. I FELL IN LOVE with Lauren Graham! She's so funny on the show, great actress!

Lauren Graham makes the show and if you haven't seen the earlier seasons you definetly should cause they are incredibly hilarious and dramatic at the same time

I've been watching Gilmore Girls since they started showing it on abc family. My friend kept talking about how awesome it was, but I didn't want to start in the middle of a season. She got all excited one day and was like "they're going to start showing the old seasons on abc family so you can finally catch up!!!" so I did and now I think I'm more obsessed then she is

My love of Jess (and Milo

) is what got me to watch the first episode of Heroes, and now I'm obsessed with this show too

I watched it! Chris was starting to bug me and no offense to anyone but I hated the whole involving Gigi thing, it's supposed to be Luke and Lorelai

Gigi's cute, but when did she get back from Paris? She's the whole reason they went to Paris.
I hate when they don't explain things.

Yes Gilmore Girls is awesome!! I've always thought it should be Luke and Lorelai, and Jess and Rory. I actually kept watching Heroes because I saw Milo and I was like, "Hey, that's that dude from Gilmore Girls! He's jumping off monkey bars!... ahahaha!"
Yeah.... and also my love of sci-fi. Kept me watching that is.
I love all of the their Gilmore-isms so much, and finally in the seventh season it seems like Rosenthal is getting a better feel for writing or something, because I'm liking the episodes better now. Or maybe it's just because Chris is out of the picture.

I'm thinking that's an excellent possiblity (being better cause Chris is gone). I always liked his character, I just never like him with Lorelai.

Gilmore Girls is awesome, but I don't think I'll be wicked upset if this is the last season. We've gotten 7 great seasons (well, season 4 was a little bleh, but whatever), which is more than some shows get.

Very true, but I'll still miss it, right now the fate of the show depends on Alexis Bledel

Why Gilmore Girls Had to End
(from tvguide.com)
In the end, they just couldn't strike a deal.
That, in a nutshell, is the reason Gilmore Girls isn't returning for an eighth season.
Multiple sources confirm that Warner Bros. recently made one final offer to Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel that included sizeable salary bumps for both in exchange for a shortened 13-episode season. As is now obvious, that offer was rejected.
The good news? The May 15 finale was meant to serve as either a series or season finale. And having just read the script, I can assure you that it's a satisfying conclusion to the series. As I previously teased, it brings Gilmore full circle.
The official statement is below.
"Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television. This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters. We thank Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino, Dave Rosenthal, the amazing cast led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as well as the producers, writers and crew for giving us this delightful gem for the past seven years. We would also like to thank the critics and Gilmore fans for their passionate support and promise to give this series the send off it deserves."

I know it's so sad! And it double sucks because it's right at the end of my 8th grade year, so everything's changing, and it all seems connected somehow. I like the way they ended it, but I was really sad! And it sucks that there isn't another season, because it finally seemed like the new writer was getting the hang of everything, it was beginning to be like old times!

You're right it was beginning to feel like the old Amy Sherman-Palledino days and I really wished that they had gotten the shortened 8th season because the finale left so many things to be desired, waaay too many things like what happens to Rory, will Luke and Lorelai stay together to the point of marriage, what happens with Sookie's third kid, and so much more..I just loved the show and I needed more, it didn't end the way it was supposed to they didn't even get to use the last four words that Amy wanted to be in the series finale

What were the last four words?
And I was so hoping that they would have taken a little less time with Rory's party and then jumped ahead a little bit to Luke and Lorelai's wedding or something.

I'm sure they would have done that but they didn't know that the series finale was going to be a series finale cause for a while there it really seemed like there would be an eighth season

This thread is like a thousand years old but I just wanted to say what a
huuuuuuge GG fan I am! I love this show to death.
Fave thing about it is definately the Lorelai and Rory relationship. There is no better tv relationship then theirs!
I can't believe they cancelled it!!!!!!

It's so wrong!!!! I wanted to see what happened with Rory, I wanted to see LL married, I wanted to hear those last words!
I'm still interested in saving it though.

I know, kinda pathetic of me but I don't care!
