People, I know there is a lot of specualtion into romance and relationships in Heores , but wehat about the friendship wth Hiro and Ando.
These guys were amazing in the series.
I wish Ando turned out to be a Hero through, but otherwise
these guys have got it all going for them. Okay, theyve had ups and downs, but when they are together they raise a lot of laughs and fun.
Its a shame all friendships cant be like that.

Anyway, I agree that I love their friendship. It's just so genuine and how the epitome of a good friendship. They provide some of the funniest moments in the show, but they are always focused on their mission. I also like the way they're always learning from each other.

I love the way Ando is so loyal to Hiro, and the way Hiro trys to protect Ando. It would be great if Ando did discover a power, but i think it would make the program even less believable.

I love both of them but Ando is such a sweet guy!

Nobody thinks Hiro and Ando have kind of Gay relationship on season 1?
In Japanese society gets real hard to accept homosexuality. Maybe there's more on the story that aparently shows, kind of an iniciation way to accept their mutual secret love

Kind of LOTR relation between Frodo and Sam...it surpases mere friendship

It's interesting that Ando is a nice guy that you can root for and he's often in the think of it, but he has no means of protection.

Hiro and Ando are the best duo in the show.

Yep the best tag team in hereos is definately Ando and Hiro
Ando more like the sidekick whereas Hiro as the HERO
Hiro doesn't want Ando to get hurt or put in hospital so he sends him home, plus the Hiro from the future ..the only reason why he went into the past to change things was so that he can get his best freind back-Ando. F-Hiro's happiness changed when Ando died, he became more serious and sad.

But in all they both have each others back. Hiro saving Ando from the whore chick who had a gun and Ando saving hiro from the 493 security guards in Lindermans casino.

People should accept, HIRO only has a loyal friend not a boyfriend...

Hiro and Ando make an incredible duo on the show. I love how Heroes tries to make frequent nods to the comic book hero arch-types. Hiro and Ando clearly represent a superhero with his/her trusty sidekick. Although, I don't agree they are in love. They're just incredibly good and loyal friends. The show seems to paint them as nerds and they probably have no other friends outside of each other. Which makes their bond even stronger.

As for Ando having powers? It would be an interesting twist, but a very unneccesary one in my opinion. Part of what makes it exciting is that Ando can get hurt. So Hiro has to make a concerted effort to protect him.

As Hiro (and many others on this site pointed out), having powers doesn't make you a hero. Ando can do heroic things without them and at Hiro's side.
