The series premiere is on October 3rd at 8/7c on ABC.

I just watched the pilot on Dom's forum, and I think it's a really cute show. I love Ned and Chuck happy.gif I'm not going to say it's 'amazing' yet, because I'm sure it'll only get better. I'm going to have to watch this show with captions on because the dialogue is so fast and mumbly at times that I'm not even sure what they're saying.

Favorite quote:

"You're a drug mule?"
"No...a monkey mule" tongue.gif
Lost_Dom
I wouldn't say its my site, im just Co-Admin now wink.gif

Anyway, im a HUGE fan! The pilot was definately 1 of my favourites ever (behind Heroes & Lost of course), and I cant wait for episode 2.

Hopefully the fanbase will grow in time for its premiere, and it might become some what of a hit biggrin.gif

I just hope even those with a lack of imagination & dont usually like this type of quirky colourful show will tune in and become hooked.

Just a month to go!

You know what I also like about this show? It's a love story that's believable, but not all sexed up wink.gif Sexually charged "love stories" (if you can call them that) are far too abundant these days.

Another favorite quote:

"I used to think masturbation meant chewing your food. But I don't think that anymore..."

laugh.gif So random.
Lost_Dom
Yeh, I like that too. You can tell the love between them is real, and which is why they make such a great couple. Ned & Chuck is for the soppy romantics, whereas Olive & Ned are for passion tongue.gif

Anyway, a great scene I like from the Pilot (Pie-lette) is:

Narrator: In a rare moment of sensitivity, he reached out and touched her...
Vivian's eyes widen as she gulps.
Narrator: Not realising she didn't like to be touched.
Then there's an awkward silence between them.

I love that scene laugh.gif

Also, for those of you afraid to watch Pushing Daisies as you think its going to be one of the shows cancelled this season, check out this article.

Aerdna
Heh, yeah, that was funny laugh.gif

All I can say is we can only hope...there's really no predicting the ratings. But it's nice to here some reassurance, especially with its accurate predictions last year.

Hmm, I'll have to check it out. If it's one of those rapid fire-quirky-comeback-dialogue type shows I bet I'll like it.

Yep. Im sure you'll think its awesome wink.gif Have you saw the preview? It sums it up nicely.

I watched it a little while ago and I loved it! I can't wait to watch more.

This show looks good I am going to give it a shot when it premieres as well as this another show I think it is called "Dirty Sexy Money" or something along those lines.

Can't wait for this! Watched the pilot months ago now, so im happy that its finally time for the series to start!
Chuck is really hot as well!
Lost_Dom
I saw the Pilot months ago also, and from the beginning I knew I'd be hooked.

Tonights the night, it finally premieres! biggrin.gif

Alright I'm in love, I watched the show at abc.com and it's amazing! Plus the fact that Kristin Chenoweth is in it made me smile
Aerdna
Yey! Another fan!

I don't think it's possible to hate any character on this show happy.gif They're all loveable in their own way. Even Olive, who is made out to be an opponent for Chuck, is a protagonist.

Last night's episode was amazing, even though I was confused in the beginning. It keeps getting better and better, I can't wait for next week!

I really like it!!! The best part was last week when they were making out through the saran wrap...I kept waiting for them to suffocate or something.

I LOVE THIS SHOW hahah (maybe I'll make it my sig/ava) I really love the atmosphere of the show, it cheers me up after feeling sick from the Saw movies -.-;;. Anyways, with the recent episode with Jayma Mays, I was like "oh man...I miss Charlie (I want her powers hahah")
Jester77
I'm still loving this show, definetly one of my favorites and the relationship between Ned and Chuck just continues to be cuter though I hate that they can't touch. And Kristin Chenoweth is just amazing as always her and all her being single cleavage laugh.gif

Follow the Yellow Thick Hose!

biggrin.gif

Ohhh yess...I love me some Ned & Chuck wub.gif Except the end didn't make me cry this week like it usually does, I guess that was being my parents were around.
TelekineticRenegade
Yes, the Ned/Chuck relationship reminds me of Rogue/Anyone. I wonder if the show will ever get to a point where they figure out a way to be able to touch or if they just have to live with ceran wrap and stuff. I need to watch last week's episode I taped, but last night's was really awesome.

Mister Smelly guy potentially figuring out Chuck's secret...

Tears of joy smile.gif

The cutesy Ned and Chuck moments at the end always make me cry, but really happy at the same time.

Pushing Daisies got picked up for a second season post-strike! happy.gif

QUOTE
ABC has picked up nine of its most successful scripted shows for the 2008-09 season, including first-year offerings "Pushing Daisies," "Private Practice," "Samantha Who?" and "Dirty Sexy Money."

In addition to those four new shows, ABC gave no-brainer early pick-ups to "Desperate Housewives," "Grey's Anatomy," "Lost," "Ugly Betty" and "Brothers & Sisters."

"The strength of our schedule this fall was unprecedented and speaks for itself," says Stephen McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment. "We're looking forward to building on that success."

None of ABC's pick-ups can be considered a real surprise and a number of programs on the network's schedule remain currently unrenewed, including freshman drama "Women's Murder Club," the Emmy-winning "Boston Legal" and "Men in Trees," which still has an unholy number of unaired episodes in the can.

A more interesting question isn't which ABC shows will be back next season, but which ABC shows will be back with new episodes later this season.

With the writers strike finally at an end, networks will have to decide which shows will be put back into production to yield fresh installments later in the spring and which will just hold off for next fall. It's expected, for example, that ABC will get new episodes of "Samantha Who?" but that "Private Practice," "Pushing Daisies" and "Dirty Sexy Money" are all done for this season. Also expected to shoot new episodes are "Desperate Housewives," "Grey's Anatomy," "Ugly Betty," "Boston Legal" and "Brothers & Sisters."

Thus far, there's no word on the fate of "Cavemen" and "According to Jim."
