Any Rentheads on here? I fell in love with Rent last year. I wish I could say I fell in love with Rent years ago, but I still consider myself a huge fan.

I love Rent as well. I don't consider myself a "Renthead" but I love the soundtrack! I watched the movie, but I haven't gotten to see the actual musical, which I really want to. I also wanted to buy the soundtrack, but I'm not sure which is better -- the film soundtrack or the original musical soundtrack? Because I heard the soundtrack to the movie is missing some songs. Which do you prefer?

I like Rent but I've only seen the movie I wish I could've seen the show on Broadway with the original cast that would have been amazing but I must admit the songs get stuck in my head very easily especially seasons of love

I do not consider myself a renthead really.For some reason I didn't like the Play and even though the movie was the exact same thing I really liked the movie more I enjoyed the movie more.

Well not exactly the same thing for one the actual Broadway show has more songs that were cut out of the movie but that is kind of interesting that you prefer the film to the actual theater show

i cant say i prefer one soundtrack over the other. i like the original because there are more songs yet i love the movie soundtrack because the arrangements were way better, more time was put into it i think. i havent seen rent on broadway but i plan to see it once a month this year starting in march. ive taken a break from goin to broadway shows and what better way to get back into going than going once a month i figure. of course i want to see other shows (like wicked).

I really want to see the actual show since I've only seen the movie and I want to know how they pull off some of those scenes that are in the movie

I loved the Broadway show too saw it twice and own the movie and have two of the soundtracks yep im a renthead woooo hooo

I'm not a renthead, having never seen the movie or Broadway show, but I do like the songs.

I love the movie Rent (I don't know if the play has ever been in Australia) and I loved all the songs in the movie. Especially Seasons of Love.
I'd really love to see the broadway musical of Rent though. I imagine it would be amazing.

I'd really love to see it myself especially since I've only seen the film and theatre and film are so different so I'd love to see how it's done on broadway..too bad I'll never get to see the original cast though, I love Idina Menzel

I LOVE RENT!!! My sister & I are two of the biggest Rentheads! :lol:We first fell in love with it when we saw the movie, & after that listened to the original broadway cast recordings! We can barely go a day without singing at least one song from Rent, hehehe!

How I'd love to see it on broadway, with the original cast... Heard that Adam Pascal (Roger) & Anthony Rapp (Mark) just gave their farewell performances though...

I’m actually surprised there are rent fans on here. I’ve loved the movie for a few years now, never seen the show but have the soundtrack. I much prefer the movie version, the Broadway sounds way too jazz hands to me, but its still stella. I imagine seeing it live would be better then sex though. Was going to see it in London but they changed it way to much guess ill have to wait till in get to New York.

rosario was an okay mimi considering i didnt know she could sing, although no where near as good as the mimi's that have played her on broadway

i was lucky to see anthony & adam in august, it was an experience ill never forget

i prefer the show more than the movie
