Molly/Matt is so cute, they play off each other very nicely.

As soon as I saw that Matt was in Mohinder's Apartment I thought of all those non exsitant fanfiction bunnies starting to pop up I mean they are just wanting them to be written. Then Mohinder all alpha-male and secret spy like and Matt getting his badge of honor and trying to have a "talk" with the child that wants Mohinder's cooking it was just too cute. I squee from the cuteness.

I'm happy they were re-united at the end of Season 1, since we first met her in the beginning of the season. They are great.

I was puzzled at Matt's participation in an NYPD training exercise. He was intro'ed as an LAPD patrolman, right?
But then I saw Molly and figured it out -- while Matt was recuperating from the four gunshots, he did some thinking. He realized he was responsible for Molly, as guardian and parental surrogate. I suspect Molly spent some time Jessica's family (remember how they were clustered together at last season's end) but they had too much already going on to take on a daughter. Also, Molly's medical condition required her to be near Mohinder. So... Matt decided to move to NYC. This did not go well with Janice, already balancing her career, impending motherhood, and a superpowered nutcase for a hubby.
So, dump the hubby, at least for now.
And since Matt was already cashiered from the LAPD, he was free to apply with the NYPD. Not sure how advancement to Detective works but apparently Matt got over his difficulties with taking the exam and the NYPD must have given him full credit for time served with the LAPD.
So... practicality and NYC's obscenely high rents led to the Two and a Half M's show.

Gotta say the actress playing Molly does a heckuva great job. I haven't seen a youing actress that talented since Dakota Fanning.

Gotta say Nathan's reflection is a puzzlement. Obviously it's how he looked or thinks he looked after being at Ground Zero during Peter's detonation. Or maybe it's how he thinks he should look. After all, his brother is apparently dead and he's unscathed? So maybe "Burnt Nathan" is a visualization of his inner guilt.
I suspect there will be speculation that "Burnt Nathan" is the reality and "Bearded Nathan" an illusion but I do not see it having any credence.

We dont know if Janice's baby is from Matt as she cheated him alot.

I think they were just wonderful and I hope that Molly stays with them for good!

I bet Janice didn't really love Matt, hence the cheating and all, PLUS the baby wasn't Matt's - and Janice probably didn't like how Matt took off to search for Sylar while she was pregnant - hence the situation leading to Matt and Janice's divorce... but Molly probably wanted to live with both Matt and Mohinder, and since Matt seemed so excited about expecting a child he probably would have loved the opportunity, and Mohinder seems to love Molly too, but he seems to have a job that takes him all over the world (was that in Egypt, where we saw him?). I can't wait to see the Four Months Ago episode!!

But I LOVED Matt & Molly's chemistry, maybe more than Mohinder and Molly's, although it's close. That girl playing Molly seems to be an exceptional actress - I hope she goes on to play more great roles in the future, but for now, I hope she stays with Heroes for as long as possible! Matt and Molly were probably my favorite part of this episode!!

No, I'm still making vids, just haven't posted any in a longggg time. I started working on some, and there were a couple I particularly wanted to get done before the premiere but I drew a blank and never got them done with school and all. I've gotta finish and post them soon because I really liked where I was going.

Well, I can't wait to see what you do, even if they're not at all about season 2... And I'm curious about the Matthinder videos too! Who knows what people will come up with? If they have enough good scenes together, I might even try to make my own! I think Janice still loves Matt but the problem is Matt doesn't seem to lover he enough. When he was having trouble with work, he probably grew distant or certainly distracted, which left the attention-starved Janice to seek attention elsewhere.
And just when things finally got perfect between her and Matt, he goes all Ahab on her and heads off cross-country. Getting shot was the penultimate straw, that Matt felt more need to place himself in potentially lethal situations than to stay with her and their impending child.
The child is Matt's. Janice and her off-camera fling would have been too careful to risk her getting knocked up but with when Janice's love affair with Matt re-ignited, she probably stopped taking her Pills. After all, life was perfect so hy not start their family?
But then Matt's inexplicable (to Janice) obsessions kicked in......

She cheated on him, and ....this baby might not be his. I dont see why they should stay together if she knowingly cheated.

Is it not feasible that Kring is holding back on Matt's child to use it as a bargaining chip/plot item later in the series and that it turns out to have some abilities of it's own? In fact, if Hiro were to go forward in time and fine that a new big bad mutant is running the show and it turns out to be Parkmans kid, leaving Matt the dilema of "do I kill my own child" and save the future?

No kidding, that surprised me as well. What with all the plot developing between those two in the first season.

That is actually not a bad idea, something to spring on us in maybe season 4/5...

Or maybe she just got the axe because they can't do any good stuff with her character since the new season will be focused more on the mythology of the heroes' lineage and less on melodrama?

It's sad for me that Matt and Janice divorced. What ever happened to their baby? Maybe he/she has some powers too?

Anyway, the idea of the three living together is just cute. Haha. And it seems Mohinder and Matt are always in the same "subplot", even in the "original" future.

I'm also wondering what happened to the Parkman's baby, and why Matt didn't try to explin it all to Janice (getting kidnapped etc.) It should be interesting how this plays out this season.

Another interesting storyline- where's the kid? Who's Janice's new partner? Has his kid got powers? Did she have a miscarriage? Will she even be in season 2? Sorry many questions....maybe it's my British eccentricity, but I feel it necessary to think aloud, even in writing.

The "Molly Has Two Daddies" storyline is very cute, though I know a lot of Mylar/Sylhindar fans are going to be very disappointed. I know they were so looking forward to Mohinder, Sylar and Molly becoming a happy little family. Now Sylar's a homewrecking hussy!

I love the three M's, it was one of my fave parts of the last episode. I especially loved the line "Mohinder cooks" like shes comparing both of them. I really like the inclusion of the more "light hearted" story lines. They balence the dark and intense plots really nicely
