It was nice not having much commercial breaks, but during each break, they replayed the same Nissan commercial 2-3 times

did this happen to anyone else?

Yeah, that's what happens when a company (Nissan) buys up most if not all the advertising space during a big-time show like Heroes.

Yeah LOL i was like wtf is going on.figured it was a network mistake, but they paid for the no commercial break at the end, so whatever.....but the commercials were annoying

I prefer the repeating Nisan Rogue commercials over a commercial break every 10 minutes.

Actually, it was three different commercials, they just had the same theme (car/marble maze) and shared the same major scenes (the pool waterfall, the ending with the cars coming out of the bottom of the game, stuff like that).

Agreed *nods*

I hadn't noticed all the consecutive Rogue commercials until I watched the reairing of the episode tonight. It was pretty funny laugh.gif But I guess I don't mind it since it seemingly makes the runtime of the show longer.
HaloHawk87
The Nissan commercial was played way too much, but atleast we got an extended episode, so I can't complain.
Inahrima
And they wonder why people download biggrin.gif
jus_3c
Yeah, with downloads you get the longer episode without the annoying ads. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?
wils1234
Even when Mr. Bennet gave Claire a Car,it was Nissan.
peter88
And the graphic novels always start with a nissan front page biggrin.gif
Montana
They have definetly managed to make sure that the viewers know that Nissan are sponsering them wink.gif

I am glad I download...no annoying adverts biggrin.gif Although, yeah we still have to see that every second car is a Nissan wink.gif
String Theory
I don't live in the USA so I never saw a Heroes Episode when it actually aired smile.gif
Got many positive points, such as having no commercials.

But I have to agree, nearly EVERY single car in the series is a Nissan.
daisyhero09
Yep, but that wasn't as annoying as Claire squealing "THE ROGUE?" or the Irish guys wondering "where's the iPods?"
nazerous
I totally know what you're saying. To have the same commercial repeat itself over and over, I was aah lets go already.

Am I who actually quite liked how the product placement of the Nissan Versa was handled? I only really got annoyed by the whole Claire thing. Apart from anything else it's quite clearly not a car a father would give to his (while indestructable) undeniably accident prone daughter, who's already had a crash.

Bring back the Versa tongue.gif
The Big Cheese
the funny thing is it probably did not do them any good anyway.
robbo17
yh i allways knew having the car nissan versa was an in show ad only a matter of time b4 nissan cashed in and got all ads
tropical420
no pcommercials for me... although I own a nissan lolz, i watched this baby online
tessykins
At least they didn't put too much advertising in the script itself. Remember last season? NissanVersaNissanVersaNissanVersaNissanVersaNissanVersaNissanVersaNissanVersa
sabin
lol @ hiro and the versa. It's like when i watch adult swim and there's nothing but homer simpson burger king commercials. It's a way to earn a buck.
chicky841
Hopefully the product placement wnt be too bad this season...last 1 it was pretty bad/annoying.
filya
you actually sit and watch the ads? biggrin.gif

just walk away and come back when the episode continues
Hiro Worship
What about the product placement with Clair and HRG at school. Claire gets a new NISSAN. How happy was she? Talk about sneaky commercialism.
kunal.sghose
what are u guys talking about..where did u get da link

I only got the advertisement at the end since I had to download the episode... Unfortunately the TV broadcasters here don't show Heroes that quickly, blah.

But if I had to watch ads to get fast, reliable direct downloads, I wouldn't mind, lol. Staying in a hostel on campus means no bittorrent...

Product placement doesn't really bother me that much, though. Like I said in some other thread, as long as it means we get to watch Heroes...

yeh i got some through out the heroes episode but it didnt bother me much
Corazón
Hm, I might be wrong but I guess product placement is remarkably pronounced in the US. Unfortunately, some European series start to copy this but it's not as annoying as it is in America.

It is understandable that filmmakers want to make money but this is exaggerated.. the actors / act should be in the foreground not some well-placed products. rolleyes.gif

I actually thought that was pretty funny when i was watching the episode. I remember thinking about the fact that there were so many Nissan commercials.

It was because of the fact that Nissan basically sponsored the limited commercials which means that they paid extra to be advertised all over the show so that the premiere could have less breaks.
