This is purely an assumption but when the guy attacked Peter he seemed to use a shock of some sort that shocked the guy away, and from what we hear new character Elle's power is electricity and she has a link to peter and noah, therefore im guessing he has been in contact with her during the 4 month period. Wether she is responsible for putting him in the box i don't know but i cant think of any other characters he has been around with that power from the first season. Not much to comment on just thought i'd see if anyone knows what power he may have used and how he got it?

Yeah, In 4 months, peter could've absorbed A LOT of new powers...
and i think sylar has done the same, he has probably recovered from his little injury since the season finale and has been strotting around and killing people for their abilities... he can be really dangerous now ^^, and so could peter, since he doesnt remember anything about himself anymore.. he could go crazy

i wonder what would happen if peter turned evil, since he has no memories of him being a good guy. lol

The guy in the comics had electricity (EMP more specifically) as well.

I actually thought that Peter was using Telekinesis that he got from Sylar. The first time he ran into Sylar he felt fear right? Well it looked like he was scared when the gangsters started coming for him, so he accidentally ended up using telekinesis

it looked like a blue ball of energy of some sort so think its not telekinesis...
maybe he got it from another person that has not yet been introduced....

Sadly I didn't event recognise Peter the first time I watched it.... i thought to myself "that can't be peter can it? he looks too diferent" I'll have to watch again to see if their was a blue energy but I'd have to agree with thinking it was telekenesis.

Nope it was more of chilly blue light effect, more to to represent that freezing power he got in the first couple of episodes. SO Peter definately got his electric power from Elle.

Chill. No one is arguing I think it's a good debate myself. I figured that in the crate it was obviously electricity..I could be wrong though. As for 'Five Years Gone' Sylar's looked more so of Ice..I remember people talking that it looked really similar to the Iceman VS Pyro battle in X3.

My guess is that somehow Peter just washed up on shore somewhere and they didn't know what to do with him, so the natural instinct is to stick him in a crate. Someone mentioned that he might have absorbed it from Elle too..I think that was a wise idea.

Could Peter have blown up and do a complete regeneration? Like in Guyver (anime). That explains the loss of memory as the brian cells are rebuilt from scratch? Though like all memory loss on TV, doesn't explain how he remembers his language above everything.

Seems feasible, if his brain had to knit itself back together then it could well be that he's suffered memory loss due to extensive cell loss/regeneration.

To me, the necklace seems to be a pointer in the direction of the Haitian, rather than some mega brain regeneration side effect. I could be wrong though...

Maybe Angela knows that Peter is Alive but amnesic, that's why she said he is dead, the old peter is past this one is a new one.......

To be fair, the idea that it is not actually Peter is interesting. I think there was a movie I watched where the guy was a clone but didn't know he was a clone and acted just the original character.....what was that movie called....

Peter seemed to have lost his memory. Can't see why that should have happened. Unless when his body regenerated from the explosion he couldn't get his memories back. But i hope he does, it's just not the same without the Peter i know.

what i dont get is that if he has lost his memory, so how can he use any power at all, cause he seems to need to remember how the person make him feel(if I remember well).
No memory = no one to remember = no power available

After all, not only is Peter wearing his (rather distinctive) necklace, he's also lost his memory, a trick the Haitian has a unique talent for pulling off.

The only questions are why the Haitian did it, and where the electricity came from.

Firstly, the Irish people didnt sound irish.
Second, why was Peter in Ireland?
Third, I think Peter might have used Sylar's ice power. Maybe I'm wrong.
Fourth, if he didn't know who he was then how come he knew that he had powers?

Maybe he lost his memories if he was vaporised? I have a feeling he'll be making new ones as an Irish Gang member though

Two of them did sound Irish, but they definitely weren't Cork accents.
