Right well, looking through the uploads on this site i noticed that most require some sort of wait time or a premium/$$ account. However there are several great filehosting services without this problem. For instance, my fave is MiHD.net, it has unlimited download, supports 500Mb files, and they are virtually never removed. It is more or less tolerant of warez/ or unknown formats, so as long as you package your files in some way (zip, rar, 7z), split them (if too big), and change the extension they will not check. It supports download accelerators (my favorite is fdm (free download mananger)), producing dwnld speeds as high as 1.5 Mbs or on average .5Mbs. Anyways it's a great solution to anyone wishing to host files, and future uploaders

The thing with the high quality downloads, I don't upload them myself...they are uploaded by people from wherever and I grab them and post them. I just post the low quality ones myself. You are more than welcome to download off the links and re-upload as well as anyone else.
String Theory
I have to bookmark that page... looks cool, really.

if anyone upload they should upload to mihd

That could be a problem though, some versions of Windows are anal about WinZip, and if you don't have it/purchase it past the trial period, then that makes you inaccessible to the files. However, it does sound very appealing to not have such time length/file size limits like MegaUpload.

I've never had a problem with Winzip however now I use Winrar, it has a 30 day trial period and even if you go past that limit it still lets you use the program it just brings up a nag screen every time you run it.

People should upload to mediafire in my opinion, it's one of the few unlimited free ones

I have had nothing but trouble with Mediafire timing out at around 98% of downloads, no matter the size.

Megaupload is good.

srry, haven't been on the site for a while. So here are a couple of replies to the comments:
Uker: I have nothing to do with mihd, i do not support them, nor have i anything to gain (except
convenience) as i own a megaupload lifetime premium. It's just advice not an ad.
Hlin & MetalMeow: Windows isn't anal about winzip. Its anal period! (LOL) Just use 7-zip, it free, faster,
supports all encryption/compression algorithms except stuffit (as there's only one known
method of extraction and its copyrighted) wait did i mention it's opensourced?
Peebles, menara,& travis: Mediafire, megaupload, and rapidshare deplete the point of my post this
filehosting is 100% free and is often faster than the premium on rs/megaupload (don't know
about mediafire, and i was suggesting posting for others' convenience.
Finally, unlike megaupload/rs this filehoster is much more annonymous, harder to track, and most importantly less sensitive to warez (as that is a similar nature to this site).

Gigasize.com is very good.
Have to ask-is there a username or password floating around for the mares.elitnet.org links?smile.gif
