after watching the short preview for the next episode i noticed one thing that it was obvious. The Buisness suit and the bright shirt and the fancy watch. It was so obvious when i saw it. and its only a guess

Cause you know people in las vegas where flamboyant shirts, the fancy watch everything. and no Linderman can't be the asian lady, the black mailed peter and niki, cause she would say "Mr. Linderman" and some may say why doesn't claire's mom and dad have the same last name? my theory is that they never got married. and me might have just had a one night stand. so who knows we'll see!![/spoiler]

That's true there are only about 32 people on the list but I kind of hope that Claire's dad is someone we haven't seen before I don't like it when shows have too many coincidences

yeah, it would be neat if it were no one that we have heard of, and hopefully his gift is something sweet. like dance at amazing speeds? or can stretch far distances? who knows there are so many powers to name off.

if he has one his ability might manifest as a usless ability like no remorse or no emotion at all or he might be able to think well like how the one girl (can't remember her name) could remember anything she saw

I think its Sylar because he asked Claire's adopted Mom I think it was her adopted mom How is Claire and he has a Texan accent like her real mom does and her adopted mom does .I could be wrong but like everyone else here its just a guess.

Yeah, I heard that accent too, but I think he was just putting it on for show, just to seem less shady. And I think it works for him too because at first it looks like Mrs. Bennet treats him kindly.

I'll be mad if Claire's real father turns out to be one of the characters that we already know. I'd rather see someone new or else it'll be too much of a cliche situation

Wait, didn't they show Nathan talking to 'Linderman' on the phone regarding a painting? No one else was in the room so it's not like he'd fake it. Plus, if he were Linderman, why would he send goons to run him off the road and blackmail himself by sleeping with Niki? Also, father Petrelli had ties to Linderman...so that'd be his own son? I don't think this Nathan = Linderman thing is working

I think you're right. The watch and the ring DO appear to be Nathans...however, what is NOT clear is if Meridith is talking to Nathan on the phone when the voice over occurs. There are some questions posed on the "other" site that bear further speculation...the writters do try and throw us off...or it could simply be Nathan...

didn't DL and his Men work for linderman? and they all where the same ring? it might be a golden version of the ring. But now i don't know who it'll be it might be Nathan's from a previous marriage with Merideth. We'll just have to see tonight!!

DL's crew wore a silver ring with a skull head. Linderman was not noted for wearing the same ring.

BTW, the voiceover and preview don't say we will find out tonight. It just says "wait til you meet Claire's daddy" (or something like that). IF it is Linderman, we won't see him until "after February", according to Kring. My guess is that we'll find out who Claire's dad is next week (the 12th) or the 19th. Episode 17 (on the 26th) is gonna be a big one, too. IF Linderman was HRG's partner, we'll likely see him then -- and not before.

Yeah I think that they'll prolong something like finding out who Claire's dad is til next week but oh the speculation on who it could be

Wow, i totally jumped out of my seat and ran around the house calling all my freinds that watched it. and they were freaked out to!! Wow these next episodes are gonna be really really interesting.

I know what you mean. I had already come to a 90% surety conclusion that Nathan was Claire's dad. BUT, I still nearly fell out of my chair, when they showed his face. WOW!

I have a 1 year old and she is getting real good at turning things on and off...just before they were about to reveal her dad....the baby turned off the TV...my 13 y/o and 9 y/o and I all yelled "NO" right as she turned it off....she just about jumped out of her skin, she started crying....I felt bad, but we were able get it on fast enough that we saw nathan on the line.

It will be interesting if he trys to play it off, you know, like "show me the DNA test", or "this is just a campaign trick"....he's slimey enought to do it....

That seems like something that Nathan would do I doubt that he'll just want to take the responsibility of being Claire's real father and who knows what this will do to his marriage

I believe his marriage is a sham...he would be more concerned about his political image...

Maybe so but I think that Nathan still loves his wife even if he has strange ways of showing it
