Ha ha, yeah it is good being able to watch Heroes without any adverts
I do download the show, I have to admit, but I still rewatch them when they are aired on BBC2, have you guys been watching the Heroes Unmasked things as well? I didnt even realise they existed until the Sylar one was aired a couple of weeks ago, lol.

It's a shame that the BBC is about a year behind, mind.
Realised that they're only halfway through the first season, probably won't get Season 2 until at least next Spring/Summer

Well they pay for these shows with taxpayers money, maybe they should listen to the people and get it in good time. Unless there is a contractual agreement we don't know about.

Why cant we have it the same time as the US? It would make sense. or perhaps the BBC get a discount for being over 12 months behind!!
UK sucks.. and now petrol/gas is over £1 a litre!!!

I agree - God bless this site. I watch Heroes on Sci-Fi for Season 1, but just couldn't wait for the Season 2 premiere. Shame that the BBC haven't done what Sky One did with Season 3 of Lost and 24, where they were screened a few days after the US airing. Surely the BBC will lose thousands of Heroes fans who will already have watched it?
And hello to all UK Heroes fans!

BBC have got Season 2, and from what I've read all additional series, including Heroes: Origins. So no adverts for the UK! (just 10 months behind the rest of the world!)
Sci Fi no longer have it, probably just Season 1 repeats after the whole series has been screened on the BBC)

Yeah I'm really happy that we can watch it uninterrupted, my only problem is that the BBC can't actually seem to stick to a schedule, i was planing on recording all of season 1 to DVD but because the BBC keeps running late I have episodes with 10 minutes missing off the end

Still never mind, I expect that I'll have another chance yet if they air all the episodes back to back again like they did a fortnight ago.

Won't happen.
The BBC are stubborn. Won't happen until at least after Christmas imo.

Will season 1 be finished by Christmas here though anyway? I was wondering if they had timed it for a Christmas series finale, and then maybe it could be season 2 after a brief pause for new year?!?

season 2 will start round bout the same time season 1 started, but next year. they need to cover for the seasonal viewing and heroes is a ratings winner

The dvd box set is released on 10 December, so it must finish by then.

Jan 8th, two days after my dad's birthday, lol, I think that BBC has done good with Heroes, they have fun games, as well as a BTS Doc and Heroes in HD which is a first in UK TV since Sci-Fi doesn't have a HD channel.

I'm in the UK too. You can get Heroes on the digital/cable Sci-Fi channel in the UK and it's actually not that far behind. But yes, on regular terrestrial TV, the UK is very far behind.
I found out about heroes through the sci-fi channel, but ever since then I've been keeping up with the latest episodes thanks to Mr Internet.
It's weird seeing Heroes start to become popular in the UK though. Like when they had all the various Heroes actors show up on morning TV, to plug the show, and talk about such old episodes.

The BBC have first refusial on all future Heroes series, so Sky only have a chance if the BBC reject! Also it might not be as long as a wait in the UK because the BBC are prepping Doctor Who Spin Off "Torchwood" for the Heroes slot with Series Two of Heroes starting about a week or 2 after torchwood finishes

even though i have watched season one on the internet i always watch the episodes again on BBC. Its so good to watch them without adverts aswell, shame about so far behind though. i really hope season 2 is shown on the BBC and that sky doesn't take over like it did with Lost

It is very annoying when in the UK it's only on Episode 13/14 when in America its already started on Season 2.
By the way if you don't know guys, after Heroes Unmasked on BBC Two turn over to BBC Three (if you got digital TV) then you could watch the next episode.

I just rally hope that Sky One doesnt take Heroes, otherwise the interenet will be my last chance.
Although i bought the box set yesterday, Part 1 of series 1, i think ive got my friend into it though and my mum is beginning to like it as well yay, im just getting addicted to this show now

I like Dr Who, but don't care about torchwood. I would much rather have Heroes. Why do the BBC insist on playing American imports on BBC Two? They could show Heroes Season 2 on BBC one in a similar timeslot. Giving them ratings for both channels.

Yeah but those two shows are likely to attract a similar audience so they wouldn't put them on the same time. Besides isn't torchwood normally shown on BBC3?

I guess when the BBC can't afford it, or justify paying loads for it in a year or more then sky might take it on.
