I always knew DL wasn't coming back from the end of Season 1 when they posted spoilers...but a lot of people keep posting he's coming back so at least I have proof.

I was never a huge DL fan. The actor always over acted his scenes, making DL a less likable.

Ugh, D.L never suprised me throughout the whole season. Though it will be exciting how it turns out for Micah and Niki.

I agree. I'm now very excited to see where Niki will go. She seems to be taking initiative now, where as before she was scared. Whilst the Niki we asw five years into the future was a broken soul, the touch yet kind enough exterior is where Niki needs to be by seasons end. Strong but also a mother to Mikah.

D.L is dead...........hah, looks like he's not as strong as matt parkman who can take 4 or 5 bullets in the chest

I know....Matt survives multiple bullets and D.L. dies from just one...lol

I think Niki is going through that and because of Micah living with Monica maybe Nana could tell us stories of his background or maybe Pauetta or whatever her name, was one of the original peason with Papa Nakamura, Linderman, and Mr and Mrs Petrelli.

To be honest, the fans are mainly the cause of his death in my opinion and the reason why Matt survived those bullets.

It was obvious that it will happen but I wanted to hope.
In the previously showed pictures from the second season he was still there but I guess after they showed that most of the people didn't appreaciated the character THAT much or as much as other characters, he had to go. -.-

Obviously this is also what they will do with Candice since only a few people liked her.

I think a additional reason is that both characters are very powerful (most powerful next to haitian) and also need the most effects (Budget???) created for their powers as well.

That costs additional time and additional computer work so they rather put a bit more to the more popular characters than investing to less popular ones. -.-

However, in my opinion, is their own fault that those two characters wasn't able to get as popular as others and by that I don't mean their storyline or depth, (since it was good) I mean their screentime and participation.

Most people started really getting interested on Candice and D.L. after Landslide and that was already almost too late to say the least.

No!!! I'm one of the few fans of DL and hes gone, thats so depressing. Luckily Niki and Micah are still around though, I hope they finally come back in Episode 3 I miss them.

Maybe the Niki/Peter storyline could happen. I quite liked them in Five Years Gone (except the whole angst bit), I thought they had pretty good chemistry together.

It'll be interesting to see where the Niki storyline goes this season.

D.L. goes, probably Candice goes too and possibly even Molly in the next few episodes.
All the interesting characters have to go after they got a bit attention and more depth so the people started to like them more.

Unfortunately I saw this coming with the lack of Leonard Roberts in cast pictures and the assurance by the writers that someone had in fact died in the finale. Unfortunately it was a waste of a character, we never got to see him used to his full potential

Yeah hahah exactly, Matt takes 4 to the chest - he's lying on the ground bleeding to death and no one really goes to help him right away, and DL is up and walking around just holding his gun shot wound. Something's not right here.

lol, you would've thought it'd be the other way round in reality, that Matt would have died by the 4 bullets and DL survive with just 1 bullet, well seems like the script writers kno what they are doing

Yeah I agree it is really weird that they had DL die

Bear in mind, D.L was shot from pretty much point-blank range, and was left to bleed out for quite a while. However, Parkman got four bulets to the chest, that were sent back via T.K, so probably wouldn't have had the same stopping power that they would from a gun. But D.L. had lost so much blood throughout that series, im surprised he held on that long.

I am gonna miss the character, Micah needs his Daddy, damnit! Goodbye Daniel Lawrence!

Seems he may not have died from the gun shot. Perhaps he contracted the virus. We will find out in the "Four Months Ago" episode probably.

D.L. has a cool power but it's sad that he just died, they did not develop his character much.

I never liked D.L...he got the best power in the show (apart from Peter and Sylar), but then Pete already mimic it, so why not kill him off

It seems to me that they started killing every character that has expensive effects involved(D.L. and Candices powers needed too many computer effects).

Other than that, it seems that even if a whole building would fall upon matt, he would have the "popularity joker" in his hand to save him(same goes with sylar).

Since D.L. and Candice didn't had one on their hands..... you get the idea right?
