Who has the better powers? Peter or Sylar???

Peter has! he doesn't have to cut off someones head to get the power. No mess and alot more convenient

am not sure about the answer... indeed Peter's power is really cool (am so fond of it ) but if there would have been no other heroes at all... Peter would be useless and unskilled. But Sylar still can understand mechanism...

I think Peter. He could've absorbed all of Sylar's powers or most of it. But Sylar has better control over his own due to his perfect intuition.

I like Sylar more than I like Peter, but when I took opinions of the character out of the equation, I had to vote for Peter since any time he goes up against Sylar, he can absorb all of Sylar's powers in addition to the ones he has already. Thus he has a pre-ordained upper hand on Sylar power-wise, but due to his personality, he doesn't allow himself to reach his full potential.

So Peter has the better power.

Peter, of course. He can get powers by just standing near powered humans. He has a hard time controlling them, though.

Peter does have a cooler power in that he can absorb someones ability, but he doesn't have control over them and absorbing too many in one go makes him all ill.

I voted for Sylar purely because he can control the powers that he takes. I know his way of gaining powers is way ickier than Peter's but Sylar has pretty cool powers...like being able to freeze things...or super-hearing...or melting things...(I still think Peter can only get Sylar's telekinesis so i don't see him using these other powers, I may be wrong, of course.)

Its very hard to pick between these two because they really are quite similar when it comes down to it.

where did sylar actually get the freezing from? or is that power part of that guy who cud turn stuff to liquid? maybe that persons power was that he cud change the states of objects or sumin

That, we don't know. I think they'd explain it someday, or not, or whatever.

But maybe it is part of Zane's power; maybe he had liquefaction AND solidification/freezing.

Which reminds me...I wonder if Sylar does continue to steal others powers, if he'll cut there heads off because it seems that since he's been near Peter that he wouldn't need to do that.

I think Peter's powers are better even though both of them have very similar powers. But I still think Sylar is so much cooler than Peter. He is such an awesome character.

Peter's power by a long shot. It's basically Sylar's power without the dirty mess.

Peter has the opportunity to absorb so many more powers than Sylar, simply by being near someone. Sylar has to strategize and kill the person.

Let's just hope he doesn't find another empath, like Peter.

Hey everyone, first post!! and also, someone was like, sylar (i love him too) has the power to see the mechanics or something, but peter also can absorb these powers. Sylar definitely has a cool power too, it just requires a more "hands-on" way than Peters. Much easier to acquire new powers for Peter than Sylar. I call that convenience, lol. But Peter definitely wins there. A fight might be a different story.

Hey can anyone pleez gather together all the mini sylar vs peter fights from series 1? Preferably episode number. I remember the last episode and the one about how the future will be.
