How old are you guys?
Cause I'm 17, and us teens, well, I guess you could say angsting is what we do for a living. We just want to fit in, because that's what everyone wants at this age. To be normal. And it's really hard for her because the rest of the Heroes, sans Micah and Molly, all had their powers when they were in their 20s, 30s, etc. PLUS because of what she can do, her life has been pretty harsh. Her father almost getting killed. Seeing her uncle explode. Having her only real friend's memories erased. Having one of her (Should I say fake?) friends, Jackie, murdered. Having a phsychopath come after her...
I'm 24. When I was around 17, I remember angst-ing about stuff, but fitting in was never a goal for me in college. I wanted to be different.
And seriously, the reaction for the "ability" is wierd. If ANYONE had the ability to be seemingly immortal, you probably wouldn't brood over it. No matter how angsty you are.
You enlisted numerous things regarding how everything might have taken a toll on Claire (ie: uncle going boom, witnessing murder, Sylar after her), but it seems to me that she easily forgot how Bennet took a bullet just so that she can be safe. We all remember that heart-wrenching episode in season 1, don't we?
