Interesting thing is to find out in the previews episodes ( almost final episodes in the first season) that the future "Peter" glows blue like in the comic when he's about to fight Sylar. That happens just before Suresh closed the door and Hiro travels back to the present with Ando.

I thought it was sylar that glowed blue, from his ice power. Peter went sort of yellow, red (either teds power of claire's mum).

it will probably be a new persons power.And ofcourse future peter should have a load of new powers from other heroes he's met over the years.

yeah, i wondered why sylar didnt just take maya and alejandro's powers there... but he has to wait til he's healed i think. he would be almost indestructible if he had both their powers, because then he could control it, just by himself.

the power is probably from a new girl named Elle. I bet that during that four months' peter knew her, and now shes coming to fing hin. she will be played by Kristin Bell from veronica mars.

I felt kind of bad for Ricky. Guy was fried to a crisp.

I think its gotta be a new power or makes it more interesting and more scope for new characters that way

I wonder if his power has a cumulative effect... that is will he grow infinitely "stronger" and will he be able to use multiple powers at once. It's be cool if he could go invisible, reach through a wall, create a nuclear detonation and then kick someone's a** in one move. Like some kind of warped Mortal Combat move.

It's weird though because in the first season he described using the powers by how the people made him feel. Yet, he has no memory so how can it be possible peter is using all the powers he had learned??? lol crazy

Actually, after hearing Maury Parkman (Matt's dad) say that his power started out just like Matt's but grew over time if that will happen to Peter... because logically, wouldn't that happen to all of the new generation of Heroes?

Not really, it is a trigger event he had to use before amnesia yes.
But now since he has amnesia its more of a automated process.
It seems the body hasnt forgotten the abilities, but the mind has.
So the body is doing these things without the mind knowing and that is what we get to see.
Now Peter has seen what he has done. He then just has to focus on what he saw and use its ability.
Thats my interpretation

when i saw the elle character using the small sparks against the containers when she was walking off, i immediately thought that peter must've got it from her and that they had met in the time that we don't know what happened yet.. when oh when is that '4 months ago' episode going to show..?!??

thus shows how she knew to look at the dock, in the same container he was in, was it her who put him in there

His wounds were very bad and he had to undergo 8 surgeries in the past 4 months. This could explain the why

I think he got it from Elle, so I'm making a guess that Peter had met Elle before. Hence, acquiring her powers.
