I'd love to check it out. I wonder what's going to happen in my town!

I was raelly hopin that the painting would be more intersting and shocking like HRG's death!

Don't understand why she's in the picture with Peter, I would have thought he'd have wanted nothing to do with the man who caused her brothers death, Peter could have left her behind and gone by himself...*sigh*, or he could have recruited Ando, he's a sidekick without a hero at the moment

I guess all three of them will make some time travel, maybe meeting Hiro .. and then i hope elktro girl dies ! Caitlin will die later too, just to make peter know that all girls he loves have to die ;-)

So its off to Montreal we go..I remember Mrs P wanting to go there in season 1 i think can't remember which episode mind we also know she can speak French!

Maybe Peter learns more about his family and his past in this building?

Thats if it is Peter in the picture, the thing about painting in black and white is just that, nothing is as clear as it seems

yes there is the helix sign. above the door where peter and caitlin are standing in front of.

where ever theres some1 with abilities or something to do with them the helix is always around.

I found this interesting as well because I used to work in the area in the painting!

The painting is actually inaccurate because Notre Dame is not visible from the corner of St Laurent and St Jacques. This is actually the corner of St Jacques and Place D'Armes.

If they did it exactly as you mentioned, I think it wouldve costed them a bit of money to check up on that. Thats what I think atleast

Maybe it is being a little picky but I don't think it's too much to ask for some geographical accuracy when they decide to use an actual intersection on the show. Maybe they don't think it matters since it's "just" Montreal but I'm sure if they decided to paint a picture of New York or L.A. they would make sure they got it right.

I don't think there is any additional cost either to get it right. Last time I checked, Google Earth and Mapquest were free.

Yea true, but the big details ofcourse should be in it. The lesser details doesnt matter much is what im saying. Not all the Heroes fans comes from Montreal. So people from other countries such as myself doesnt recognizes the differences although people who lives there or used to live there might see the difference.
Heroes showed us that they were in NY while in fact they are just in LA this is a detail similar to yours.
People from LA would recognize that it wasnt filmed in NY, but in La.
It's the same thing Watching little details is important in Heroes but at some scenes it isnt because the details does need to be logical to everyone. Like the Helix symbol on the painting. That has a meaning for the next scenes unlike what you mentioned from which direction it got painted.

i mean peter was off to montreal even b4 this, something happened to him preventing him going there and landing in ireland, the ticket was in his pocket and mob guy put it in the box

The question still remains; what is in montreal?

There are the street corners Saint-Laurent & Saint-Jacques from where I think we could get the same view of the Notre-Dame Basilica, in Old Montreal (but maybe not...).If not, maybe they put the Basilica there because the church has some significance with their presence in town.
Anyways, it doesn't really matter if the setting is inacurrate...It's only TV!
I gotta go check out if the building they're standing in front exists (minus the Helix for sure!). I wonder what they'll find out there!

My thought is this show is too detailed and too accurate in most things to be wrong about this, unless it was on purpose. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, but in, in my mind they've earned it.

They know full well someone will notice that the painting is inaccurate and we will all speculate about it. If they didn't care about accuracy - they would have chosen a fictional street corner...

That being said - Peter will find Adam Monroe in Montreal.
