I think that part of it was backwards but am not sure how to get the sound track to play in reverse.

I thought that was awesome how they implemented it. I'm sure the "second voice-over" was reversed or just mumbled, but I think it had significance as well. I'm too lazy to go ahead and create an audio though and figure it out lol. Someone else want to do the honors?

I think if you played it backwards, it would say "Hail The Beast And Our Dark Lord".

It made it scarier. But why policeman? Did that policeman had any significance? Both the nightmares had people that had significance to Matt and Nathan!
amplification.

Don't know what was said or why but it's nice to know that Tim Kring watched Twin Peaks and obviously enjoyed what he saw otherwise he wouldn't be ripping it off so badly.

I tried to check his lipsync, read his lips as little as I am able. That fits, and my ear catches just enough of the right sounds to believe this is right. Especially on the second line there.
Thanks for that.

the guy says you kno the drill becos matt is a policeman and shud know the routine on what to with people in jail
he has a guilty conscience about leaving his wife
he shouldn't be there becoas he hasn't done anything wrong, he is a policeman

Well yes... it was their own nightmares!
Matts nightmare, as a policeman, would be to be locked up... along with his wife and baby which apparently isn't his...
Nathans nightmare would be that New York WAS destroyed, and he failed to save New York and thus ended burnt and scarred...
But in the end they both ended up fighting each other as they were both suffering their own nightmares in the one room... so when Matt was fighting the policeman and Nathan was fighting his alter-ego they were actually punching 7 bells out of each other...
so matt father power is similar to candice, he can change your enviroment and makes you see things that arent real? this besides mind reading

Yeah fight or flight. And this may be a hope for Maury to be a sorta good guy, he might genuinely have made Matt go into the back room with him to make his powers grow stronger or something, although it was a very evil way to do it.

^^I'm not sure, with the evil grin and "Pleasant dreams" line...
I like Sparky's explanation - I think the difference between Maury and Candice is that Candice influenced what you see but Maury influences what you think, and you see whatever it is you're most afraid of.
The nightmare thing is why I think he's the killer - Angela was screaming and clawing herself in that cell.

Whether he intended or not, the result of that nightmare was, Matt could wake himself and Nathan out of it. That should tell her how to wake Molly up. Also it might make his powers something more that what they are.

I thought Matts dad had kind of explained this just before they went in the room, that his power was so much more i.e. first they learn to read minds, then they can control/manipulate minds. It makes Matt's power a hell lot more interesting now IMO. The dad puts them in a mental prison state - prisoners in their own heads. I thought that scene was decent/adds a bit more weight to Matt progressing in the series...
