It's Noah's retired mentor, he trained Noah and Claude when they were with the company. You can see his face clearly, and find out a bunch of things about him like where he had his wedding in this one preview clip I watched.. It's in here somewhere.

in the preview, it showed
he was talking to his old russian mentor, who was a mentor to him and claude when they were in the company. The russain old guy is retired, and is holding back one of isaacs paintings from HRG. HRG wants the paintings and threatens him, saying u kno what im capable of (meaning he has done something evil when he was working for the company. Then he threatens to take away all his good memories.
Blackmailing the mentor that if you don't give me the painting i will take all ur good memories away (like the ones of ur marriage)

I think Noah's Russian accent was so much better than his Japanese accent, even though I have no idea what a pure Russian accent sounds like anyway, but it sounded pretty convincing

In the 57th Heroes graphic novel, Ivan is paired with Maarten, a guy who can emit fire from his hands. As we all know, it's Company policy of pairing a "normal" person with a "gifted" person, so it's highly unlikely that Ivan has any power.

At the beginning of the season i was a bit afraid that the writers tamed Noah a bit too much after the end of last season but I'm happy to see that ol'HRG is back. Remember, at the very beginning of last year, he was the main bad guy before Sylar came in...

Also, I loved his interrogation technique!

it really showed how far he could go to protect his family, and not just changing his name to Butler.
it was one of the shocker becoz i really didnt think HRG was gonna kill him,
he is a pure bad a** and i like that
