It might not necessarily be his future name, perhaps it is his real name from England. Remember he named himself "Kensei"

Yeah the Adam Monroe is Kensei theory has been running around for quite awhile now, even before the name was mentioned in the show.

yeah I'm going to go with this Kensai theory. He is English after all, and "Adam Monroe" is such a generic name. Just seems like a name that a man who has lived through many centuries would have picked, as to "blend in" persay. Regardless of who this Adam guy turns out to be, I am intrigued by the mystery. It reminds me of the good ol' days when we were all wondering "who is Sylar??!"

Oh yeah, definetly Kensei. However, I don't think that it was his name from 400 years ago. It makes more sense that he would change his name over the years, a la Highlander. Also, I had already heard that Peter and Nathan had an encounter of some kind with Munroe when Peter exploded. If that's true, that would explain why it seems that Peter is working with Munroe. Whadda' ya'll think?

add: I was reviewing the Canandian preview for next weeks episode... it seems like the people abducting Peter and Caitlin are dressed in samurai-looking clothes. That would certainly give more proof to the Kensei= Adam Monroe theory.

Haven't seen Chapter 6 yet but seen the previews. But... what happened to Elle?????? where is she? She's not in the previews of Chapter 6 and 7...

I don't think the people abducting Caitlin and Peter were wearing samurai clothes. They were not abducted either. I think they were stripped clean for any virus and those people were wearing anti-virus/protective suits in dark green. the samurai thing isn't there yet...

now we all have to wait 1 week :/

At first I thought that Adam Monroe was Bob's real name, but when I saw a folder with "Adam Monroe" written on it, hold by Bob, I guessed OK he can't be Adam Monroe.
Then you guys start with Adam Monroe = Kensei, but are you sure about that?
If they really teamed up(Peter and Kensei, as Adam Monroe) Peter should have talked about Hiro who can stop time and in this case Kensei would still feel betrayed(by Hiro and any of his friends) and wouldn't trust Peter.

So in my opinion, Adam Monroe is not Kensei

@samourai57 - peter already has the ability to stop time even before Hiro knew that his ability exists.

Elle wasn't in episode 6...and I don't think she is in episode 7 either....she will be in more episodes after that though.

I have heard a lot of rumours that Adam Monroe and Kensei are one and the same...and it seems probable I suppose...I just wonder how he becomes so dangerous that the Company feel the need to control him. I guess we will just have to be patient

I guess it would be an interesting twist to make Japan's Hero the villain? (that is if Hiro doesn't turn out to be the Hero...? seeing as Kensei thinks he betrayed him and all...)

Adam is Takezo Kensei its like 99% for sure.

They were the flags of Whitebeard's camp and in the storage... And there was a message from a Adam...
So you can pretty safely say that Adam Monroe = Takezo Kensei.
But the question about Adam having a message for Peter ...
Since Peter went into the future, he went back to the past. There he will supposedly meet Adam. So Peter told him about the message etc I think and then Adam wasnt planning on putting the message there but since he met Peter in the Past he will meet the Peter we saw in the storage going into the future
So confusing lol...
So basically its a paradox.

Adam met Future Peter in 4 Months ago (most presumably). In order for Adam to write the message to present Peter about the world needs help etc because if he got the info of Peter he knew he would go to the future and see the effects.
A selfulfilling paradox as I said.

So it seems Peter teams up with Adam Monroe and maybe do some stuff.

problem?? they skipped and went straight 5 years later....

two possibilities:
1. if the bomb wasnt stopped, then all these in season two may not have happened.
2. tim kring didnt plan that far yet.

future hiro did say something about stopping sylar, but as we know it, it was peter. maybe peter does have something going on with this evil adam kensai person? future hiro did say everything, maybe the everything isnt just stopping the bomb. i think there's more to it. and i think this is when he became a fighter. future hiro changed cos of love for his friend ando. maybe something bad happen yaeko and he changed into something else.

this season seem to have alot more questions.

Tim Kring already planned far ahead
When this episode was made, it was back ~ august... I think not for sure though.
Tim Kring is trying to make a statement about the bomb/virus lol...
I think the bomb was just the main plan of The Company and the virus was just for the people who didnt deserved their ability. Because the bomb was stopped, they virus got some priority and Adam got wind of this and ofcourse wants the virus for his own purposes.
If the bomb didnt happened, then the virus wouldn't have much priority and not alot of people would know about it unlike now. Atleast this is what im thinking

all i know is that i the time until ep.7 is on will drag on slowly


Adam = Kensei that's most definitley a possibility, especially the way ep.6 finished

Why would Peter mention HIRO to ADAM?!?!?!
Peter mind is wiped, if he doesn't even know his own brother I doubt he'd know HIRO. Peter doesn't even remember his own life and all the powers he has.

But it looks like Adam will = Kensei



My opinion:
Kring had no clue what to do and where to take the story once he wasn't allowed to kill off the characters he planned to kill and had to continue stories with already developed characters.

This is why there is a drop off in quality of the show from episod 21 of last year till now. You change plans and it's just not as good, plus great writers leave and the show just doesn't captivate like it first season did.

The Virus is the next big thing because there is no where else to go with the characters. Last season was about different journeys that ended up bringing everyone together. Which was great. This season isn't about character development and learning about them. It's about gimmicks (THE BOX!!!) bad cliffhangers and no real answers hoping we forget about season 1 questions.

Bomb good plot but was drawn out
Virus boring... but even worse drawn out and written

Didnt knew writers of season 1 left... and that he wasnt allowed to kill some characters he had in mind but wasnt allowed. This changes alot though and reflects the second season. We obviously know how it turned out because of this

lol this paradox stuff confuses me-but i get ya, im thinkin he gets him to steal the varied virus from the company and tells him that he wants to destroy it as it will kill nearly all of mankind (which peter has seen in the 1yr future). Peter wants to help aswell as he will want to save mankind, but as evil as kensei is he wantsto use the virus for his own purposes......maybe like inject other heroes with it so he is the only ability left person on earth:unsure:

Nope, I don't think so. Adam Monroe is the liquid man and Kensei does not possess the power of water mimicry as far as we know. Besides, Adam was caught 18 years ago on HRG's first assignment so the likelihood of Adam = Kensei is quite slim but I'm not ruling it out yet.

i'd prefer to perceive both peter and hiro NOT villians in the future. because after all, peter realises the future and hiro understands the past.

by this, both characters do not have full perception of the whole situation, thereby, a conflict in interest, especially over kensei (if he IS adam monroe)

I absolutely agree that there has been a noticable drop in quality in these few eps. I rewatched eps 19 onwards again and they were just so captivating, full of action and suspense, and made me realise how much these new eps suck compared to them. Just my opinion though.

You may be right, but they didnt had that many characters to introduce and give screentimes compared to now. The budget is mostly the same, but the amount of characters is just absolutely insane. It was in season 1 I dont know 10 or something. Now it has almost been doubled. So Tim Kring is slowly telling their stories and killing people off while telling his story. So there will be better graphics and more action for each character starting ~ midseason I would say.

Guess you're right. My friends and I were guessing that Kensei never gets old and so will Claire. They will die only when their brains die. And they stop aging when they manifest their ability. Well, that's just a theory, if Kensei is indeed Adam...
